You should quote whoever you're directing this toward so that we know to whom/what you're referencing.

Saying he only won as a starting QB because of a "fumble" or an interception" by the other team is ludicrous as that how you would describe most NFL wins! So I am addressing it to all ludicrous people.

Btw Cowboys fan, Orton swept the division on the road in 09 yet he's garbage and Tebow is the best thing since sliced bread.

Did Orton win a playoff game? Did everyone say that Orton sucked? Did Orton have 1st team reps? Minicamp? OTA? Was Orton starting his 4th game in the NFL? Was he a 2nd year QB who sat the bench most of his rookie season? Was the Broncos team as bad as it was last year when Orton swept the division? etc...

In Orton's rookie season he guided the Bears to the playoffs.

Orton has never taken a snap in a playoff game.

Lol...you have more excuses for Tebow winning than the most staunchest Tebowite does for why he can be a good QB.

Thanks for falling into my trap and exposing yourself..:breakdance:

Did I say that you said he did?...Just merely added an unconvienient fact to your statement that you most likely intentionally left out in hopes of misleading those who don't know any better...

It was relevant..But it was very transparent your intent to leave that out...Only a tool wouldn't be able to detect it.

Since this thread's topic is one of comparison between Sanchez and Tebow, how come so many Tebow supporters fail to mention/acknowledge Sanchez's accomplishments as a young NFL QB, especially things like comebacks, clutch moments, and Playoff victories -- the things Tebow is applauded for incessantly? Sanchez has accomplished all of that and more.

I understand praising Tebow for what he accomplished last year; but if you're going to do that, then you have to praise Sanchez for doing the same/similar things, for QB'ing his team to 2 consecutive Conference Championship games.

Tebow is young and trying to develop his QB skills, but let's not pretend that Sanchez is old and been around forever. He has accomplished A LOT in a short amount of time in the NFL, while also trying to cultivate his skills. The difference is, Sanchez's progress is much greater than Tebow's, and yet, many Tebow supporters don't bother discussing that.

What Sanchez did in his first 2 years was impressive,I think he was in a better spot for succeess, but that does not take away from the fact he came through in the playoffs big time. Judging from the preseason he could be ready to turn the corner I think the OL and the WR injuries havent let him showcase himself. I think he has the confidence of the coaches, because if he didn't I think you would have seen wildcat in the preseason just to try to put TD's up. I think Sanchez deserves to be the starting QB, and if Tebow is smart he will use the Jets as stepping stone to a starting spot elsewhere if he can manage improvement. I really can t beleive people are getting worked up over an 8-8 season Back off the kid.

I will say I appreciate the effort the coaches are making to force Tebow to do things he is not comfortable with even though it makes them look bad. They appear to be legitimately trying to get him the skills to be a starter somewhere, not just putting him in shotgun and running the option to make it look like a better trade. I am a Tebow homer, but am on record saying he needs a year or two as a back up with a coach who is genuinely interested in seeing him succeed. He needs the extra time that will be available to work on his mechanics and timing, you cant work on that stuff during the season as a #1 guy

I hereby praise it. What Sanchez accomplished in his first two years (in terms of clutch wins, generally winning, road wins, postseason wins) was truly impressive by any standard.

I think these facts about Sanchez are pretty well known and often used as reasons to think Sanchez is a viable QB.

It's the one great thing Sanchez has going for him, because like Tebow, without the winning the passing numbers don't look all that great on their own.

Sanchez's accomplishments thus far in his young career are reasons that he's a viable QB. 'Nuff said.

The point is that this thread was created, apparently, with the purpose of a discussing a comparison between the two QBs; but the discussion seemed pretty lopsided towards Tebow, and consequently, neglectful of Sanchez's accomplishments.

For example, doesn't Sanchez's 4 Playoff victories on the road rank pretty highly in the history of the NFL? Pretty sure it does.

Sanchez 3474 yds 26tds 56% completion - and that was sucking down the stretch. A good NFL qb needs to be close to 60% he needs to improve

Tebow-1729 yds 12tds 46.5% completion. Those numbers get you cut but then again Tebow is more than a Qb which is why once all the hype dies down Tebow will contribute to the Jets.

He will never be the Jets starting Qb, though if Sanchez gets hurt he may start a few games. Unless by some miracle Tebow all of sudden gains accuracy in his fourth NFL season he will never be a number one Qb in this league again.

That's awesome that you think Tebow will have another season to gain accuracy.

I completely agree. If he's not above 55% by next year (his fourth season), he'll probably never be considered for a starting QB role.

Tim has had some horrid plays this off season and some really nice ones as well. Can't really make it as a traditional nfl qb quite yet, hes below average for sure but has improved a bit in his mechanics.

He could prob run an offense tailored to his skill set with at least average results imo.

as a regular nfl qb mark is alot better. None of us have seen what rex wants to do with him so maybe tebow's plays in the real season will be more tebow friendly.
