I'm remembering the story of Kevin Kolb. Maybe there is something in the water in Philly with backup QBs.
I thought even before we drafted Geno that not signing a vet Qb other than Garrard was a big mistake. At that time we were just talking about having someone to legitimately compete with Mark for the first time in five seasons. And Garrard even didn't last into training camp so that Idzik experiment was a bust. At least until now. If he's really healthy, the guy used to be a good player. And the last time he was in a camp he won the Fins starting Qb position over Tannenhill and Matt Moore. So why not consider him if Geno continues to hit the rookie wall. The Jets have a chance to make the playoffs now so scrap the idea of breaking him in and seeing if he can be our franchise Qb and try to win games. Maybe even dress 3 Qbs. If Garrard who I still believe is fragile and when hit will go down can play and take a hit then he's really the best Qb on the team.
