I think it would be a bad move to pick QB in the first round. Too much investment with such a big question mark for their future. Besides being burned with the Gholston pick, we gotta get a quick return on our investment.

That season he ran all over defenses. What did he do after that season when teams figured out all you have to do is contain him and make him pass? Nothing. He's terribly inaccurate for an NFL QB, I don't care how strong his arm is or how good he runs. He's not an NFL QB.

WSW, don't even waste your time on this guy. He has the biggest man crush I've ever seen on Michael Vick.

Yesterday, he was suggesting we sign him straight out of jail...and he was being serious.

Yeah I like him better than your options. Pick some better options and I might listen to you and answer my question in regard to who were his receivers and where are they

I don't need to know who his receivers were to see that he was terribly inaccurate and couldn't read a defense well. Who were Chad Penningtons receivers this year?

    I'm done now.

Michael Vick is an interesting discussion. Mangini was all into bringing good samaritans to the team. Maybe Ryan doesn't worry about those things. Maybe they don't want to go in the "good guy" direction. Maybe they give Vick a tryout? Hmmmm....

Exactly, You are done. Vick has never had a talent like Ted Ginn, and Vick has taken his teams further than a Pennington team

Nobody expects Vick to ever be a QB in the NFL again. He was regressing before losing all this time. That doesn't mean he won't be back in some capacity, it just won't be as QB.

That makes absolutely no sense. Vinny stayed away from the game. Cunningham stayed away, Maddox was away and I think they all did pretty ok when they came back. Ryan Leaf for christ sakes came back and even though he sucked, he never did anything to the first time around. He has accomplished more than half of the QB's in the league wish to accomplish. Have a 60% + winning percentage.

that's bullshit dude matty ice came in with the same receivers vick had and lit it up.but when vick was there they supposedly sucked.vick's a thug who should be nowhere near an nfl stadium, for the simple fact that the protesting by p.e.t.a. is gonna be more than any owner/gm/coach is gonna wanna deal with .

I want Ratliff. Like everyone else, I know nothing about him other than the couple of good looking drives he led in the 3rd and 4th quarters of preseason games. You know - the times when it REALLY counts!

He's a gamer in the 3rd and 4th quarters of preseason games, and we all know what that translates to - NFL success!

Obviously I'm kidding. If I have to vote now, I guess I'd say a competition among Clemens, Ratliff (we know NOTHING about Ratliff, and very little about Clemens) and some scrubby veteran.

Is he really? Why does he look so much shorter than Farve? Neither is as tall as Ratliff or Ainge. Isn't Ainge 6-5? At any rate, I don't think Clemens will ever be mistaken for Farve. At 6-2, he's a bit short compared to the other QB's on the roster.

Anybody know what the average height in the NFL is these days for a starting QB???

If you can say that then you just exposed yourself as a fan, but not a knowledgable one. Roddy came into his own the last two seasons. Vick had him as a rookie and second year player. And receivers hardly ever excel in their rookie seasons. The only reason Roddy even played as much as he did early in his career is because the Falcons had no one. Jenkins who caught sixteen passes his first year is the starter on one side and Roddy who never played a game yet is on the other. Finneran was out for the year, and they cut Pearless Price. So you tell me who would put up numbers with those as your receivers coming into a season.

No wonder this franchise continues to lose without relief in sight. If you are gonna pick your players or play based on what outsiders say, then you will never win.
