which has nothing to do with Petty......like I said, Petty threw a couple 50/50 balls o him...thats it...Im thinking JOsh had a huige impact on Anderson during camp this year. We'll never know for sure but my theory makes a lot more sense than yours

Anderson's play is what Smith was expected to be for the team and thankfully his play takes some of the sting of yet another in a long long list of round 2 whiffs by the Jets. Unless you consider Lamont Jordan a good pick aside from Maye the only good round 2 pick since Dennis Byrd was David Harris. That is pathetic.

As for next year, the Jets are like the ugly girl at the dance. All of the other available QB's in the draft and FA will be wooed and matched up with a team while the Jets sit in the corner waiting to see who's left at the end of the night. Expect McCown to be back and them to grab a young QB recently dumped after his rookie deal ended as b/u and keep one of Petty or Hack as QB3. It's the Jets way.

That fact that Anderson said so would suggest to me that that is true. McCown has had a huge impact on Anderson, and Anderson loves him. It's more than just being a better QB too.

Actually its because of Morton.. Gailey wasn't exactly a bag of tricks when it came to calling passing plays and WHEN to call them..
