Great start in '03. Then teams caught on and he had 1 touchdown and 6 interceptions in 4 games to finish up.

In '04 CMart had his career year - setting up Chad's beautiful play fake. I wonder how the safeties will be biting this year looking at our running game?

Then you have the best of all Worlds.

Of course not. Manning is dropping on my list after another choke but at least he always puts his team in position to win in postseason, favre is a little bit overrated but still a HOFer and I think Marino is the best of all time. Those are unfair comparisons, I'd take Chad(healthy Chad) over strong arm QBs like Culpepper, Leftwich, Plummer, Eli(as of now at least), Brunell, Bledsoe, Favre(the favre of the past 5 years) and others.

I love the "cuahgt on" argument. That was what was said in the '02 playoff game at Oak. teams couldn't figure him out then in one week he gets figured out? But then they forget when he comes back a year later? Teams didn't figure him out they figured out how to stop Santana by doubling and sometime rolling a 3rd his way and Santana was his only weapon in the passing game.

and in '02 Curtis had his worst full season and Chad led the NFL in passing.

All excellent points. Here's to hoping that Chad can return to form and make do with a bad line and no offensive weapons. Ahh... It ain't easy bein a Jets fan. No it aint.

Through all the hard times it will make it that much more special the day we actually win a SB- I just hope I am alive to see it.

You couldnt be more wrong if you tried. Arm strength is one of the most important qualities that a QB can have. It effects EVERY route, not just hail mary's. If anything, the hail mary is the one pass that doesnt require arm strength because you just lob it up downfield and say a hail mary that your reciever catches the damn thing. Chad's lack of armstrength leads to a HUGE percentage increase of interceptions. He has great accuracy, and a smart awareness, however, if your football takes 1 second longer to get to the reciever, that gives a CB or SS that ran a 4.5 40 a little under a 10 yard advantage. Thank about that.
