I wouldnt mind Kitna but I think drafting Omar Jacobs or signing Josh McCown would be better the kid is young and is pretty mobile I think a change of scenary is what he needs.

kitnas very good as a 2nd stringer but hes not the kind of guy we want as a first string. Hed be great to back up pennington though and i dont think hed demand that much of a contract compared to pendog. Oh well its not that big a loss if he moves to detroit though, i think we could do better at qb

This is actually good news for the Fins. Initial reports were that the Lions and Fins were the only two teams intending on making a strong run at Brees. Not that they're signing Kitna would totally rule out any interest, nor do I believe that there won't be at least 10 teams showing interest in Brees - but any news like this has to be considered good at this point.

JHTJ, as much as it pains me to say this, I can't see Brees picking the Lions over the Fins, even for more money (unless it's a boatload of cash.) He has been playing on an improving team, and going to the Lions, with all of their turmoil would be a bad career move. Who knows? He could feel he is the key to help that club turn the corner, but if I were him, I would rather go to a team like the Fins that showed last year they are committed to being on the rise.

It's going to hurt to see Brees in our division.

Take off the Green colored glasses. They have a ton more talent than us on the offensive side of the ball, a Very talented secondary, and arguably one of the best NT's in the league... They are more talented than us, and if they finished with one more win... Well that ='s they are better than us...

I guess, though i think he may have more weapons in detroit, i'd think he;d want a shot at a SB.

Honestly, I think he stands a better chance in Miami of winning a title. To begin with, they have a great HC. I see Miami as the next shocker team in the NFL.

As far as Detroit, yes, there are weapons, but there is also a dirty bomb in the FO. Millen makes Bradway look like a genius, and he has a big mouth and a finger he can't stop pointing. The advantage Brees would really have in Det is the division itself. He would pick apart his rivals out there.

Can't see Brees going to Detroit. It's a step backwards in his career. He'd be a perfect fit for Miami. While he's solid, he's not a guy I'm afraid to play twice a year. More concerned with Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams in the backfield.
