Fine...let me respond to your STUPID and ILLOGICAL post knuckle ass..... Geno Smith is now two turnovers away from the worst statistical fuckin' season in the HISTORY of the NFL. HISTORY. Why?? Why do they not want Geno Smith to throw...ummm...dumb ass...let's recap with an example here...there is only one other worse way to toss an interception than a pick 6 and that is to toss a god damn interception IN the end zone! Geno Smith if a turnover MACHINE!!!!!!!!! And since they are too candy assed to start Simms because MAYBE he turns it over HALF as much as Smith they would have to answer for drafting the useless QB AND for why he isn't riding the pine after the previous FIVE games. You should stop posting while you are ahead.
He plays the most important position on the football team, he doesn't check out of poor plays, never adjusts protection at the LOS, its so painfully obvious that at this point he is handcuffing the offense. MM is a known pass happy guy and has 0 confidence in Geno, I never seen so much wildcat in 1 half in my life. They just do not want Geno with the ball in his hand. Why?
Nice flamebaiting first off. Why the hell do you think Geno Smith often has to run for his TDs in the red zone? Our targets cannot get separation, watch the games. Checkdown targets can't even hang onto damn passes. OLine can't hold their own on passing downs and it takes Chris Ivory absolutely twisting and turning to get his own yards nowadays. Teams expect the run because we're afraid to air it out for all the aforementioned reasons. Yes Geno has not done well with the deck he has been given but the deck he was and is given is fucking terrible. I'll stop posting if you can watch the game and actually observe rather than just see the offense stinks up the place and think the QB is the sole reason to blame.
He audibles 3 times today to runs to Powell and they got 5 yards a chunk in fact actually. Geno has audible plenty in a 2 minute no huddle offense, in fact he has looked at his best without relaying plays from the sidelines. Take a look at the Atlanta game for instance.
I meant pass plays, anybody can audible a fucking run, he did well in the 2 minute because the Falcons D is garbage and it was simple vanilla offense. I don't think Geno's brain can handle a complex NFL offense which is why a lot of his completions are basic over/under routes.
Triva question, what other Jets QB drafted in the 2nd round, had a big game in Atlanta? Anybody, I'll give you a hint, he was just as useless as Smith is
Agreed with the Falcons defense/secondary being garbage but I was just making a point that he can audible to passing plays. Without Kerley, we don't have guys who have are shifty or have any deception coming off the line. Maybe Holmes but even then he's not even fully healthy. Hill on paper would be our speedster but he has zero awareness on the field and still is a huge work in progress for route running.
Geno isn't a scapegoat, yet. The reason that Geno needs to be benched is to save him from himself. Spot on Cman
Our skill position players are absolutely useless. When are one of them going to jock up and make a play? Help this kid out a little bit. It's unbelievable. Is Geno part to blame? 100%. Does he deserve ALL of the blame? No.
Stop blaming receivers. Holmes had to make a diving catch on an underthrown ball by Smith. The drop by Holmes was an emergency throw that wouldn't have even netted a 1st down.
What about the 30 yard pass downfield where it was easily catchable, but Holmes just gave up on the route instead of running it out? What about the interception at the end where Greg Salas watched the ball and made no attempt to go for it? What about the other four drops? What about the receivers practically never getting open? Yea, clearly those problems are Geno's fault.
I can't believe my eyes that some of you are still defending Geno at this point. you're full on retards.
i can't believe my eyes that you actually want simms to start at this point. you're full on retards. at this point i don't even care if he's better than geno, he clearly isn't the future and his college career can speak for that.
You don't think Simms is the future ....... because of his past. I hate to break the news to you but this is no longer about developing Geno as a future starter. These guys need to compete for a roster spot so we can see if either one is worth keeping as a backup QB. Unlike Geno who did not understand why he was not drafted in the first round, Simms might be content to stick around as our backup for the next 3-10 years while Smith could leave us at the first chance to start over somewhere else.
If you said this to my face I would pick you up and throw you into a garbage can so you could wait in there for Geno's NFL career to get dumped on top of you.
