Exactly. But I've seen several threads like this in the last few weeks, making it look easy to defeat the other teams because "no one can stop our offensive weapons and our defense can manhandle everybody", that I thought I could add my two cents.
It's good to be believe in your team but some of these declarations are just blind fanboi chest beating. Cleveland manhandled the Pats & defeated the Saints. That means they are capable of beating the Jets also & they should be confident they can handle the Jets. Browns running game is incredibly good right now. McCoy faced off against Pittsburgh in his first game, so I doubt he'll be intimidated by the Jets D. == Jets should win. I'd say to implement the same game plan everyone is using against the Jets offense. Stack the box to stuff the run & force the qb to make plays. Revis+Cromartie will eliminate 2 WR. That leaves Colt McCoy with his 3/4 receiver & TE
All this rookie qb cant beat us is nonsense. Stafford isnt exactly a seasoned veteran and he did well without a strong run game.
No way the jets let the penguin outcoach them. and No FUCKING way Rex lets his brother have the best of him. Edwards is gonna wanna go off this game. I expect to see the DUigi
Here's the issue: the Jets should beat ANYONE if they actually showed up for 4 quarters. The most frustrating part of this team is that they could be 8-0 if they actually put in a proper effort for the whole game. I think that Rex is slowly learning that there's more to being a great coach than just being a great motivator.
Don't underestimate Colt McCoy. The kid can play, and Cleveland has looked pretty fucking good with him under center for 3 weeks now. I know he's a rookie and all, but I'm a Horns fan and I know the kid can play. They also didn't lose by that much to the Ravens in week 3 (I think). I think we win this one, but it won't be a blowout.
I want to agree with you but I feel like we've been saying this collectively the past 4 games (Broncos, Packers, Lions, now Cleveland) and every one of those games was ugly. Hopefully the team and coaching staff got the message and really hammer it home.
McCoy impressed me yesterday. He made some great throws and looked very comfortable in the pocket. And the best thing of all? Belly looked like he'd rather be having prostate surgery than shake Mangini's hand.
Today is the day boys. And have no fear; we will be 7-2 when the Sun sets today, and watching the Patriots play this evening to have a two game cushion. We will win this game today. And I'm putting every bit of my vCash on this shit.
