Chad to the Bears would be a Mistake.... ,,Not ours either but theirs! There is No way Chad would be able to throw In the Windy City... They need someone w/ a stronger arm. Besides, Why would anyone want to get rid of a winner!?
You are underrating Chad's arm strength and how bad the Bears' QB situation is. They need someone with brains to not screw things up and make plays occasitionally. That said considering how bad their situation is, they will have to pay a premium price
It's funny how ironic some of the threads are on here. People calling for Clemens and high picks for Chad. Realistically the best that can happen for the Jets is CP plays a *full season, takes us to 8-8, 9-7, etc. shows he can stay healthy for 2 full seasons. That will garner a 2nd round, and maybe a 1st round pick with some other players/options involved. If he is benched, we will be lucky to get a 3rd. I want the Ravens to make a push for him, good OL, good running game, great D -- perfect fit. McNair is like 84 and Boller just sucks.
The Bears are not winning a SB with Chad Pennington at QB. Anyone who thinks the Bears are better than New England, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Indy, Seattle, GB, Dallas, SD, maybe even Philadelphia with Pennington is nuts. They have a good not great D and a mediocre O. They are a good NFC team, they are not a smart QB who can't get the ball to their best Offensive weapon from a SB victory.
Nice. I would like to know the age of the person that started this thread so I can at least justify it because of his age.
As much as I dislike Chad if the Bears Defense played like it did last year he could take them to the superbowl in the Nfc to loose against the Pats, Steelers or Colts. That is a very big If they could hold teams under 14 points a game. The bears Defense would give him the field position for at least 3-4 field goals and all he would have to do is get them in the endzone once.
Really? But I have to agree with you somewhat. CP gets way too little credit for what he does, with a short field he can put up 17-31 points, more than enough for a good defense to protect.
I really feel bad for Chad...for what he's gone through injury wise. That guy is a Baller!!! He needs to retire a jet
The idea that last years Bears would have beatin the Colts in the SB with Chad instead of Rex isn't cold. Rex had as many good games last year as Chad and he outplayed Brees in terrible conditions in the NFC finals last year. Chicago in December is not the place for Chad.
