He wasted one and supposedly the coach was telling him to call TO in the headset. Sanchez had 2 TOs, neither of which really cost us. The first one was a but underthrown and was like a punt. The 2nd one we got the ball back. Sanchez played well overall and more than well enough to win, the D killed us today.
Correct.....I thought Sanchez played well enough to win also. A couple of miscues on D....killed us. There's no way Marcedes Lewis should've been that wide open in the 4th quarter.
I always laugh when I see people write a QB "ould have" or "should have" had more picks. There are close plays every game, Garrard could have had 2 picks too. Sanchez played more than well enough to win including driving us down for the go ahead TD late in the 4th qtr.
no year is a potential Super Bowl year....unless you make the playoffs. You need to be a little more realistic and objective in your expectations.
You play to win the game but only one team is good enough to win the SB each year. We are trying to get better. We aren't very good. Sanchez is one of the reasons we might win a SB down the road. Unless he gets hurt he is probably going to be our QB for the next 8 to 12 years. If you really don't like him you might want to bail now?
I laugh at these guys who think we're going to be successful....JUST BECAUSE. My expectations for this team will grow as Sanchez grows within this system.....I'll start to be a little more critical of him in year 3. Nobody puts any thought or objectivity into their opinions anymore.
The first play, the bomb, was the single worst play call I have ever seen the Jets make. Period. When you have a rookie QB who is going to make some mistakes on his own, like the 2nd pick today, you cover for him by not setting him up to make mistakes on stupid unnecessary play call like that one. By the time Shottenfucker is done with him he'll be just like Kellen Clemens, a player held back by all the fear that getting over-exposed early on in an intricate and poorly designed offense creates. There are no QB's who have run this offense on the Jets who did not throw some really bad picks in it that cost us games. They run the gamut from super-cautious hyperaccurate pro Chad Pennington, to freewheeling gunslinger with a great arm Brett Favre, to the young guys who have not got a prayer of running it consistently. Fire Schottenheimer or lose the season and probably lose Sanchez as an effective QB in NY. You don't get lucky, like the Chargers got with Brees after Schottenheimer screwed him up in SD, very often.
i am 31 and have been a diehard jets fan since i was 6... i have never missed watching or listening to a game....i want to see what clemens has before we let him go....we don't suck in really any main position right now other than dline and that we have a rookie qb...i will never bail
I thought the D did their best to let Sanchez and Shotty know that throwing the ball deep resulting in an INT at the begining of the game is a dissaster that should never happen because the D at the begining of the game isn't in the flow and doesn't yet know how to tackle. They should only run the ball and make sure they get a few first downs before punting so the D is prepared to take the field.
I disagree, he's a rookie who is growing and jax fell for the fake and he had an open Cotch downfield but he underthrew him. I thought it was a great call just poorly executed and that was the first play from scrimmage in the game. The O did a good job and more than enough to win which includes the QB.
practice isn't the same as gametime... and we all know clemens never had a real shot this year with a new coach who drafted "his star qb"
LMAO yeah lets bench Sanchez. My god are people really this fucking stupid or is this some sort of internet level?
