So did I but once they gave the ball to Namath I didn't ever want to see him get off the bench.

It's a shame that he didn't know how to pronounce his own last name, however. Kinda like Favre.

He couldn't beat the rookie in training camp. How is he supposed to outperform him now?

That should have been your biggest clue as to why Clemens is riding the pine.

Even if Clemens comes in and plays well, we go 10-6 and lose the first game in the playoffs. We end up with a worse draft pick. What's the point of starting Clemens just to win meaningless games? What does it do for Sanchez's development.

Let Sanchez start and develop for the rest of the season. Once he achieves his potential, we'll be a regular in the playoffs.

There's this thing that Schottenheimer has attached to his head with a microphone that sends signals to an earpiece in Sanchez's helmet. Schottenheimer uses this device to communicate with Sanchez and tell him the playcalls, when to call timeout...etc.

Even with an extra 2 timeouts, the Jags would have scored a touchdown at the end of the game because MJD would have scored at the end of the game instead of kneeling down. You = fail.

guess you don't watch the games.... the last timeout would've gave us the ball back with like 1:15 if they kicked a fg

and we would've magically got the game-winning TD, right?!

I can think of a half dozen other "what if" plays that would've changed the tide in our favor.....but that's football.

Sanchez is in his FIRST year....he's gonna make questionable decisions...but he's also shown he can make excellent decisions.

They'll always be tied together for Lions' fans, but I don't understand the comparison from this side.

These two teams are nowhere near each other in talent level and the Jets never had a shot at Stafford anyway.

They are easily the best QBs on each roster, though both backups suck considerably so that really isn't saying much.

Yep, even though our defense played poorly all game, if we had the extra 2 timeouts, we would have easily held the Jags to a field goal and come back to win the game with little time and no timeouts [/sarcasm]

If we had 15 timeouts and the field was only 10 yards long for us, we'd have probly gone to OT, at least.
