Geez man, just read the post you made citing those four "stats" and what it is you claim they "prove." You still haven't done a single thing to show you didn't make up your claim that Wilson is rated as a top ten all time fourth down conversion star. At least you stopped touting it.
I think every single point you tried to make here is dead wrong, kudos. it was very much about 1 game, a Patriots 20-10 win, which is why he said stats were for losers, they won... that day And no "literally" every coach does not say the same. I think you mean figuratively, and even that's false
Well lookie here! Now other offense is even CLOSE to the Jets!!! I know, I know. Funny thing is the team way to the left beat the two teams furthest to the right!
Your entire line of thought process, way of delivering and supported arguments makes you look arrogant with a good helping of "know it all" thrown in. The poster you are "back and forthing" here has made a point you can't get around. He states that Zach Wilson has, many times, 4+ seconds to throw and still fails. His argument is absolute and nothing you say can refute that. In this league, if you are consistently getting anywhere NEAR 4 seconds, on average, then your line is kicking ass! MOST QB's get the ball out in under 3. If you can't admit to YOURSELF that Zach Wilson is the primary contributor to the Offense looking like nasty poo then I have no idea where you "go" with that. One other thing, I gotta ask...are you his closet brother or a long lost cousin because your non-stop, never ending "love fest" with Zach Wilson is, in a word, grating. It is not only irritating but cheapens the rest of your football arguments. Let's recap a little here: "But, but, but it's offensive line!" Well, it is considered that the average time to throw in the league is less than 3 seconds. By your own admission and the argument made by NJJets, Zach, on many occasions, has had 4+ seconds to throw and STILL made the wrong decisions and/or no decision at all resulting in sacks and turnovers. We ALL get it. JD has failed with the o-line. However, somehow Hall seems to be doing O.K. AND we still have those aforementioned 4+ seconds. Not only that but, if I were a QB and knew I had a suspect o-line, don't you think the QB would try and do things to "mitigate" that area of the team? Just saying... "But, but, but the receivers are dropping passes." That is true but, here again, ZW controls some of that. If Lazard has become unreliable then it is incumbent, as the supposed leader of the offense, to ensure he goes elsewhere with the ball. There are 3 or 4 other options ZW can go to if he has a receiver that has become unreliable. Point of note, if ZW was hitting every one of these receivers "between the numbers" all the time then we wouldn't be discussing ZW, we would be talking solely about how bad our receivers are. "But, but, but..." Let's get to the gist of the argument most on this message board are trying to convey. ZW is at the controls of this offense. Not Saleh, not Hackett, not no one. When ZW us under/behind center he controls it ALL. Hackett calls a play but what ZW DOES with that play is what is on blast here. All those things we talk about, o-line/4+ seconds to throw/choosing receivers, are controlled by ZW. It is up to him, more often than not, whether or not the plays are chicken shit or chicken salad. However: If you can't read a defense then how are you going to utilize those 4+ seconds of time? If you can't understand coverages then how are you going to identify where to go with the ball that will mitigate a receiver that's having a bad game or a case of the dropsies? If you can't take advantage of the "gimmie" plays and consistently hit on the over/under throw, the easy 5 yd. outs then how is anyone to expect to trust the other stuff? This is especially important when ZW actually DOES get the read correct and/or he needs the "hot reciever" Finally, if ZW doesn't have the CONFIDENCE enough to go to Hackett and TELL him, "these are the plays I'm comfortable with let's run these" then what are we doing wasting time here. Time and time again I hear, see and read how Hackett is a horrible play caller and, "why isn't he calling more bootleg and getting ZW out from under center and in space?" Well, that's a two way street. ZW isn't a rookie. He's a 3rd year player under CONSTANT fire. I know that, if I'm in that position, I'm going to "management" to lay down the "law!" Let's face it, standing up and speaking up only BENEFITS ZW and the team! ZW, "Hack, this under center stuff isn't getting it done. I'm more comfortable rolling out so I can see the field. It's what we started to do in Kansas City and look how competitive we were." Hackett wants to keep his job, he'd listen. If Hack doesn't listen then ZW needs to go to Saleh. ZW is at the center of all this and he controls ALL of it. So what gives? We all can see it, "it" is as plain as the nose on anyone's face yet somehow you seem to feel differently. Just saying...
Tell me Josh Dobbs wouldn’t probably be the best QB we’ve had since Pennington? Sans the Fitzmagic year and Favre year I guess.
except it's not. the question was asked after he had a 1 catch game but it was about his numbers on the full season. he does go on to say some stats matter like points etc. he is saying his team stats matter and the ones that correlate directly to wins. Team stats do matter as a whole while grading a team. Individual player stats though are way too dependent on too many factors to really matter as far as a "who's better then who"
zach wilson was bad enough to let us know we needed another QB so no it's not the same. If JD gave wilson 40mil a year it would be the dumbest contract ever
he was asked why his numbers are down on the whole season. that game was an espicially poor game for him stat wise. bill pointed out that it's more of the attention he gets then the amount of catches. reporters were trying to make it seem like he was half assing it and being lazy and giving up on routes based on his stats. bill was pointing out that it wasn't true and if you watch the film you'd just see he was getting doubled/tripled all the time.
lol listen i'm not going to argue with the nonsense and insults. the fact that people can't even understand i've never once said zach is a good QB and sitll continue with saying I said otherwise is a joke
