I think that would be a good idea. We could work something out where each team can acquire one or two players from ONE CPU team, but only if it's fair value...

We can run this league like Fantasy Football league.

Thats what i was thinking too.

We should really figure out the team situation before the draft so no one is picking for a team they are not going to be.

Unless we're turning into a NFC only league, then I really think everyone should stay as they are.

Whoever just took over the Jets should move into the AFC South with you Brick - Colts, Jags, and Texans are pretty good teams to be...maybe the new guy and The Big Grizz can take over two of those teams...that way we'll have a competitive division in the AFC too.

I was the one who took over the Jets, mainly because that's who I have been playing my off season franchise with and I'm used to them. However, I really have no problems switching teams to another AFC team or even an NFC team if it would make the league better. Let me know what you guys think will be best

Yeah we pretty much agreed on no one being the Jets, I think. Mainly because everyone wants to be the Jets, lol.

Sorry guys. I have been out all day with a baseball tourny, and I hardly have time to come up with ideas right now because Im about to leave for the Sharks game. Whatever ideas you guys come up with, settle it amongst yourselves. I trust you guys, and I will give it my final stamp of approval tomorrow after the first round of football games. I should be active on here around the 4PM games until the draft. That way we can iron out any last details that need to be made.

I dont mean to be so uninvolved, but I have been running around like crazy for a few days. Help me out here...

    EVERYONE:

Since we have a bye week, let's try to get on here around 1PM EST so we can settle everything like free agency and the draft.

I think we may be able to work out some sort of waiver system for free agency, but I don't know how trading draft picks will work THIS season.

Also, I know there's a TRADING BLOCK thread in the video games forum, so let's try to get that thing active again...

1 PM isn't going to work for me.

I live in Miami and I'm having my whole Dolphin-loving family over to watch the game...I trust you guys to make good decisions and I'll join in the discussion after the game.

Can we get some off-season rules written down somewhere so there is no confusion? Thanks.

I got a hot date at 9pm tomorrow. I'll try to do what I can to attend.

I think we should have a few people to the AFC. The Super Bowl was/looked closer than a Human vs CPU blowout game.

A waiver wire for FA is a good idea. I'm not really looking to move a lot of players, so I wish I could trade picks for players. I'll get the waiver-wire thread going, cause I'm looking to move a few players.

    I can't find the waiver-wire thread.

I'm looking to move Roy Williams if anyone is interested. PM me your offers.

We're going to have to make a waiver claims - I don't know how we'll work this though.

24 hour claims? If no one else bids on the player, you get them?

Worse teams get higher waiver priority...

    EXAMPLE:

Santana Moss is a free agent and MattyJets and the Niners claim him first, but I put in a claim for him within the 24 hour period - I'd get the player because my team was worse.

...but Moss would be the only player I'd get top priority for...I wouldn't be able to go around and make claims on every single player that someone wants. Only one competitive free agent/one "steal" per shit team.

    I hope that makes sense.

Perhaps we could do a point system? The waiver system seems kind of complicated, you would have to do an entire outline of the league and who gets priority over who.

It may be hard to keep track of, but a rotating waiver system.

Say Matty puts a claim on Owens, and then Mr.E does. Mr.E gets him, but then goes to the bottom of the barrel, claim wise. Each subsequent signing moves him up a slot until he is back on top.

I honestly think everyone needs to drop a player of a 90+ rating, a 80+ rating, and 70+ rating and a 60+ rating for the effect of free agency. Also, we should do the whole GM strict commish CPU trade as suggested.

In other news, I think I will do the needful and pass on my torch to a willing participant who would like to take over as commish for season 2. My time has been somewhat limited and I think someone else might be able to do a better job with this then I have lately. I dont have all the time I did when the season started.

We can discuss this more after the draft.

I was thinking the same thing, but it could end up being more complicated than a waiver system.

We'd have to get everyone to add up the value of their team...I don't know if people want to do that shit?

We could set some sort of cap - I'm in another league and we have a cap set at 405...

Like Scik's idea of free agency and Mr.E's point system.

Mr. E is the cap for what you can spend in free agency or what your team is total?
