Just "one example" of why they should ask him back. If there is one QB out there that knows how to keep a team winning during times of major transition; it's Brett, He has a "Proven track record" in that department and at the very minimum; can keep this team in contention during these times !!
WOW! I'm sorry I didn't get your opinion before I posted. I was just stating what a man who played football for along time said. I know people that play sports are the only ones who make hard decisions in life and I have never been confronted by one in my entire life. How foolish of me. Since you know everything who is going to win the SB? :breakdance::breakdance::breakdance:
But they do make harder decisions on a regular basis then an average person. Only an NFL player can know what goes through an NFL players head.
The Jets could not win the Super Bowl with Peyton Manning or a healthy Tom Brady next year. What exactly is your point?
actually it is simple, that's what the Packers did they moved on without BF, and if he was coming back to GB he was not going to be the starter, and that is the reason why Woody said he would have to participate in all the summer workouts. Being part of the team is going to be done according to the Jets terms not on Brett's.
If Brett Favre could play defense, then the Packers would have moved heaven and earth to bring him back. Brett can't play defense, and neither could the Packers this year. That being said, Rodgers had a much better season, and the Packers have vindicated their decision to jettison the old man. Now the Jets have to deal with the drama. Sh*t or get off the pot, Brett.
That's what many said about the Arizona Cardinals last year, now look at them. Some of you Jets fans need just a "little faith" :metal: Post Note - BRING BACK BRETT !!!
They could with a better D we could not stop the pass all year & we could not stop the run after a 8 & 3 start. The D & the coaching is the problem not the QB & now that Mangini is gone Jet fans have to look for someone to blame so it is Favre. If fans could really look at it & stop with the hate they would know this.
Determination, I find you to be one of the most annoying posters on here, but I respect your opinion (someone has to defend Favre). Let me just say that Brett hasn't proven much to us Jets fans. Unlike you, we're more concerned about the team and its future as opposed to just one player. You always point out the fact that Brett took this team from 4-12 to 9-7. I feel like Faneca, Jenkins, Woody and Pace took us from 4-12 to 9-7. Thomas Jones was the AFC's leading rusher this year, whereas he only ran for 1,100 yards behind a terrible O-line in 2007. Jenkins enabled the team to run the 3-4 properly for the first time in 3 years. These were all bigger factors than whatever Brett Favre brought to the team this past season. I was a big Favre fan when he came, but his problem is that he thinks he's above it all. Of course the organization will be dedicated to him if he decides to come back, but he also needs to be DEDICATED TO THE JETS ORGANIZATION. I mean it seems like he couldn't even figure out the Jets playbook for the first half of the season, it looked awful. He also has surgery questions looming and we have two younger QBs with more potential at the moment....
