Mangold and Ferguson were far from high quality this year. Neither Holmes nor hill will be in our top 3 receivers next year. Sudfeld will hopefully be replaced by Ebron. Bohanon was not THAT bad. Davis and Coples should be bumped up a level. Austin Howard will likely be back. I think I've covered everything.
I see where you're coming from, I just think some of their formulas for some of their advanced rankings are off. I mean does anybody actually believe that our oline was 12th best in 2011?
I agree that could be off, but I don't think disagreement from that specific ranking should impact how you view their job on this separate article. There are always going to be something you disagree with whether it be from your favorite sports writer, your favorite beat writer, or your favorite stat site. That's what makes reading multiple viewpoints fun. So you could be right that their OL ranking is off, but I don't think the chart above really qualifies to be discredited (or if you believe their OL Ranking given more impact) because of a ranking from 2-3 years ago. For example I really don't like how PFF grades the secondary. The way I read how it works, I disagree fundamentally on how it works. However, I agree how they ranked our offense and most of our defense, specifically I think they did a good job outlining the players who can improve or are on the cusp.
