Amen, we have a shot this week, no doubt.

Exactly, this game will tell us alot about the Jets. If we lose in similar fashion like we did against the 49ers then we'll know that we're just not good.

Did you watch the Cowboys? That was an embarrassment - 5 interceptions from Romo?
You have Whitten, Bryant, Austin, Crabtree, and Murray -- you generate 10 points (well Orton might get a TD here)

Also not all game not once did the announcers or the coverage go to the Cowboys sideline to look at Orton or talk about making a switch.

Next week Sanchez will fart on the second running play and they will go to the sideline to show Tebow...he will get more air time than any player in the game next week no matter what the score.

lol I can't believe people are underestimating the texans right now, they've dominated every team they've played, like great teams are supposed to do. And yes they did dominate denver, dont let the score fool you.

They are #2 in points scored, and #1 on the least points given up, essentially the #2 offense and #1 defense

Chris Johnson did run for 140 yards on them yesterday -- was averaging about 30 yards a game. they are solid but not perfect. If the Jets can't stop the run though there won't be a game.

Of course this is one of those lucky if we can steal it but expect a loss game.

New England and Houston are nice to have games -- Indy and Miami are must wins.

^ yeah. The posters in this thread are delusional.

Sanchez was stifled by Miami's defense. Sanchez was baffled against 49ers defense. Sanchez is fucked against Texans defense.

When I think about this game, the score of 45-3 comes to mind

rex's jets are 2-5 when coming off a loss of more than 14 points. sanchez has 4 tds against 10 ints in those 7 games.
there is honestly no way in hell the jets can pull this together by monday and beat one of the best teams in the league. shaubb will drop a few bombs on us in the first half and foster and tate will run out the clock in the second.
jets will wind up winning between 7 and 9 games this year, depending on if they show up. but houston's not gonna be one of them

This is the funniest post of all the joke posts

    Texans will overlook

    -a conference game
    -on monday night football

    Against a team that
    -they have never beaten
-has TWO quarterbacks who embarrassed their historically atrocious 2010 defense (Tebows only 300 yard reg season game)
-they watched ESPN cover 24 hours a day all offseason
    -in Brian Cushing's home state

I can understand why some people would think the Texans would overlook the Jets because of the past. This is a different Texans team though. I've never seen the kind of focus I've seen from these guys this year. Everything is a business-like approach.

The scary thing is the Texans haven't come close to playing their best game yet. The offensive line is still trying to jell and our sack leader last year hasn't registered a sack yet. We should be a much better team in December than we are today assuming we stay healthy which is a big if. The league is seeing how dangerous we can be with Schaub, Foster, and Johnson on the field together. They played together for about 45 snaps total last year.

Not piling on but unless the Jets defense or Special Teams score a TD, it wouldn't shock me if you only are able to produce Field Goals.

I love all of these 2010 references I continue to see. That Jets team was 9-2 when they went on the road and lost to New England three days after Jim Leonhard, the defensive signal caller, was lost for the season in a freak practice injury.

This team was 2-1, should've been 1-2, and yes lost Darrelle Revis for the season a week prior, but in no way shape or form does this team resemble anything that the 9-2 team of 2010 was so cut the shit already. This team is not going to bounce back with a win this Monday. It's not going to happen. It's been a team in a downward spiral since the Eagles game last season.

Yeah but did anyone expect them to win this game when the schedule came out?

They just need to beat Miami and Indy before the bye -- 3-1 in the AFC East and 4-3 in the AFC.
Have the bye week to get healthy, work on some more things, and get ready for the second half.
They go in at less than 4-4 the season will be over.

They had no business winning in Miami Week 3. Luckiest win I've seen in years. You can't pencil in any wins, I don't care who the opponent is or where the game will be played, with this current team. No way. I see loses to Houston, New England and either Indianapolis or Miami. 3-5 with an outside shot at 2-6 entering the bye. Really hate to say it but I think Miami beat us Week 8, it's up to Indianapolis next week if we have a third win before the bye, and frankly I'd rather go 4-12, 5-11 than 7-9, 8-8. Neither record will get this team into the playoffs. Give me the better draft slot and the opportunity to blow up the roster and perhaps coaching staff. At 7-9, 8-8, the excuses will keep mostly everyone around (just basing this on this regime handles things). At 4-12, 5-11, things must change.

Arizona has no business being 4-0, Seattle should have another loss on their record.

At the end of the season no one cares how you won or lost just if you won or lost.

The team that makes the plays when they have to win games. Ugly, pretty, lucky .... Doesn't matter. Cinci hasn't beaten a team with a winning record since 2010 yet people call them legit.

So let me get this logic straight...because Houston will be playing in NJ, where Brian Cushing went to high school, all Houston players will play that much more intense?

    Did that happen last time?

Not saying the Jets are going to win, but that's a weak point bud.

Andre Johnson will catch 5-6 balls for 90 and a TD.

JJ Watt is going for 6...either a fumble or Int.

Nacho will be responsible for at least 2 unforced turnovers.

Landry will have 2 more unsportsmanlike penalties

Wilson will get beaten like a rented mule

Foster and Tate are going to have the Jets "4-3 pillow prevent" D begging for mercy by the start of the 3rd quarter as they accumulate 280+ in combined yardage for the 2 of them.

    /i'm not even a darksider

well some of us remember the 2-5 start in 2002 (i think it was 2-5 and we were all ripping the jets a new one as usual) anyway kansas city came in and the jets lost 25-22 but u saw glimpses of what could possibly happen on the field with pennington, moss, etc etc. the rest is history and made for a decent year on the field despite having less than adequate coaches, front office.

now 10 years later i would like to believe the set up this year could be similar to that year but we have totally different circumstances on and off the field. less talent on the field and more talent off.

me thinks the jets play hard but it wont matter. maybe we'll get a rainstorm and slow down houstons pass rush.

I smell a blowout, 2 picks or more by Sanchez, another game under 50% completion, complete embarrassment, and Rex will be forced to go to the podium and repeat the company line that: "Mark's the answer", "Mark's our quarterback", "Mark will bounce back", "I have complete confidence in Mark."
