Why though? If Geno is healthy enough and ready to go why have another backup out there in Petty? If you're unsure about Geno don't activate him. This makes no sense. That spot for Geno should have gone to somebody else. But looking at the inactives it's not like we had any other options. All of them are injured except for Simon and Ijalana or Harrison I guess, who wouldn't see the field anyway. So from that perspective I guess it doesn't hurt having 3 QB's. Better than a 3rd NT or a 6th guard.
