Lol you sound upset that your prediction was wrong. If I predicted my team to win 5 games and they win 8. I'd be glad to be wrong.

I don`t remember but I think there was a call towards the end when Atlanta was ready to score and win. Not positive it was a non-call or a call against ATL that really shouldn`t have been called or a call that should`ve been called against the Jets. Doesn`t matter. The Jets were 8-8, which to me is NOWHERE near being satisfactory, especially after 45 years. I simply will NEVER be happy with the Jets if they don`t win the damned SB. Then again, at this point in my life, I`m too old to even enjoy if they did win. You`ll never see this 50 year old man jumping around like an asshole because "MY TEAM WON". 15-20 years ago it would have been awesome for me at least. I really would`ve enjoyed it. Now? Eh, it`s just a stupid game that I get no monetary rewards if they do. Even after all the thousands upon thousands I`ve spent supporting them. One simply needs to stop and really look at what it is you get when your team wins. Big deal. Does anyone really care that the Seahawks won last year anymore? Does anyone care that the Giants won it in 1986? Or even the Jets in 69? Just a game.

Like I said, if you are happy with mediocrity, well then, be happy. I didn`t think they would win 8 games and that was actually based on Sanchez starting. I think after the injury, most fans were saying 3 wins tops. I stayed with 5-11.

Like I said before, there are always 2 games the Jets lose that they shouldn`t, and with some luck, win 2 they shouldn`t. It really doesn`t matter. 8-8 is a shitty way to end. Middle of the road and knowing there are so many holes to fill, 3-13 would have been better.

The Jets stopped them on 4th down but it was negated by a cheap holding call on a Jet player.

well whatever it was, it was. I don`t mind of the Jets get a few calls to go their way and win. God knows we`ve been screwed many times over the last 4 decades. What really sucks though is ending the season with an 8-8 record and getting nowhere(with the calls for and a crappy draft slot). Now getting lucky with bad calls and actually winning the SB? Hey, I think thats how lots of teams win it all, especially the cheating Patriots.

You do realize the Jets have lost the last 2 out of 3 to Buffalo, right?

    nice biased stopping point there...

You do realize the Bills have lost the last 3 out of 5 to New York, right?

You do realize the Bills have lost the last 7 out of 10 to New York right?

Wow. You're like all over the place here. Take off the tin foil hat and the Saran Wrap pants because everyone can clearly see your nuts (J/K). But seriously, first you say you'll never be happy unless the Jets win a SB and then follow that immediately thereafter by saying you'd be too old to enjoy it even if they did win the Superbowl because it's just a stupid game anyway and what's to enjoy if you're not even getting paid (???) if the Jets somehow do manage to win the Big One. Dude. WTF??? o_O Are you just having a bad day or is this a snapshot example of what male menopause is all about? "Over & Out" really is an apt name for someone who has "thrown in the towel" so to speak. As an older guy myself, I can totally appreciate getting fan burnout, but if being a Jets fan has become so depressingly shitty, maybe you should stop watching and do something else entirely for a while until your interest levels and/or passion for the game returns.

All I can say is I am glad that at 50 years old I have a bright outlook on life. If you let a team make you so miserable then you shouldn't even be posting on a message board about them.

somewhat all over the place it sounds like. You`re right, but I typed slower than I was thinking. At this point in my life, "I FEEL LIKE" I`m too old to enjoy it if they did win. Like I said, 15-20 years ago, it would`ve been great for me to enjoy being much younger than now. Not only did the Jets rip my heart out, stomp on it, shove it up my ass till it reached where it once was, they took away my youth without winning anything aside from 2 AFC East Titles, which is nothing at all. I have been doing many other things on Sundays instead of NFL watching. Fan burnout is a great description. Totally agree. Just hoping others will see from experience what this franchise can do to the fans. I`m not the only one. Basically our entire tailgating crew feels it, as well as thousands of others who jumped ship, and have also thrown in the towel after so many years. Thats the most depressing thing really. Throwing in the towel hasn`t ruined my life at all. It`s gotten so much better imo. The family isn`t concerned on how I would come home after a Jets game(usually losses meant pissed off and wins meant going straight to bed to sleep it off). LOL Anyway, it takes a long time to get over sports after being so into it for so long, especially with all that time and $ invested in doing it. I definitely took it way too seriously but since 1998, I really haven`t. Held onto to tickets just to see the new shithole and, well as so many did, it was the final straw as they say. It`s really nice not going anymore. Life couldn`t be better, so don`t be so concerned. I just like ragging on them now and I`ve learned it`s just a huge money grab for the franchise to embezzle from the fans like they have been doing, and continue to do. Now I`m gonna go and enjoy my "JETS" menopause. Cheers!

Well, said. As a long time Jets fan also into the 5th decade of life, I have felt the same pain and anguish. I'm very happy to hear that your "post fan" life is going so well. Best wishes, Bruce

It's too early to predict. I'll make a prediction during pre-season.

all right now that the draft gives me an idea f what the rosters are, I'll play

    VS OAK-W
    at GBP- L
    VS CHI- W
    VS DET- L
    at SDC- W
    VS DEN-L
    at NEP- L
    VS BUF-W
    at KCC- W
    VS PIT- L
    at BUF-L
    VS MIA- W
    at MIN- W
    at TEN- L
    VS NEP- W
    at MIA- W

9-7 seems logical, though I can easily see the team improving on that record. I couldn't find it in me to give them wins over TEN who's had our goat for a while or BUF after a bye which is always a bad outing. I'm not confident in miami, not one bit.
