Related: not too long ago I read that the best QB in the history of the Eagles franchise was just signed and will be sitting their bench all year. Some kind of football oracle came up with that.
My Chinese betting syndicate requires information on the quarter that Bellore gets injured in. Or my wife dies.
Right as they are returning the opening kickoff, Rex try's to pull a Tomlin. Instead catches Bellore.

To me, predicting the overall win/loss record makes more sense than trying to guess it out week by week. There are always some good teams that take a step backwards, and some mediocre or below average teams that come seemingly out of nowhere to be good or even very good teams. I think the Jets will be a significantly better team than they were last year, but not a great team. Unless Tom Brady has finally reached the end of his top tier status, the Jets will probably not seriously contend for the division title. Last year I think I predicted 9-7; this year I'm going to predict... 10-6 and a wildcard berth. My rationale is that I think the Jets will take two starting caliber wide receivers / pass catching tight ends in the draft (including one with the first round pick), and also manage to find 2 to 3 other decent-or-better starting caliber players with the other 10 picks. Finding 4 to 5 starters in the draft is not common, I understand; but this is considered an especially deep draft so I think 4 starters is a realistic possibility.

I also see 0-7 before the first win. Maybe 1-6 depending on how good Oakland is. So possibly 7-9. The first half of that schedule has some brutal games for the Jets. They rarely beat Oakland here which is the opener, so they should win but I wouldn`t bet it. Then there are teams and places they don`t play very well at/against. Pitt is a funny game since the Jets have beaten them the last 3x they played here. Another game I wouldn`t bet. If they start out like I see it, the rest of the schedule doesn`t matter. No, I am NOT an "optimist" when it comes to Jets Football.

Predction #2: A "Play Off Scenario" thread is started on TGG after week 10 stating that the Jets just need to "win out" to qualify. Team shits the bed after the Bye. Prediction #3. My predictions are totally wrong.
well, nothing is out of the question to be honest. It IS possible. Seen it before. I truly don`t like the start of the season. The only saving grace is the games at home. We all know the Jets really don`t have a "home". Say whatever you all want to. We all know it`s Giants Stadium and the Jets are still a road team. Paint the walls, light up the railroad station, hang banners all you want to. It`s the stadium the Giants wanted and Woody easily bent over to take it as far as the Giants were willing to insert. And it was a 30 year insertion.
5-11 was my prediction. There are always 2 games that can go either way. Seems the Jets got 3 or 4 to go their way last year imo. Otherwise I was pretty close.
