Hasn't Ganaway been injured for most of camp? I'd be SHOCKED if Connor got cut. Don't see it happening.

Furthermore, what exactly IS Sparano's system? You know? Because so far as I can tell he's never been an offensive coordinator before. He's also said he's going to fit the offense to his players strengths - so I think his system is specific to the 2012 Jets.

Talked to Ricky Sapp. He's been bothered by a high ankle sprain. He's getting better, but just to be safe, he's not going to play tonight.

For a guy who seems to be on or at least near the bubble, this is bad news. You only get so many opportunities to show what you can do ...

So I heard a lot of chatter about Jay Richardson doing well in the first preseason game. Haven't gone back and watched the game while he's been in though. If he continues to do well, does he have a legitimate shot at making the final 53 considering the depth we have at D-Line?

    OFFENSE (25)

    (5) WR -- Santonio Holmes, Stephen Hill, Jeremy Kerley, Patrick Turner, Jordan White
    (3) T -- D'Brickashaw Ferguson, Wayne Hunter, Austin Howard
    (4) G -- Matt Slauson, Brandon Moore, Vladimir Ducasse, and Griffin (or sign an OL).
    (2) C -- Nick Mangold, Caleb Schlauderaff
    (3) TE -- Dustin Keller, Jeff Cumberland, and Josh Baker (or Sign a Blocking TE).
    (3) QB -- Mark Sanchez, Tim Tebow, Greg McElroy
    (5) RB -- Shonn Greene, Joe McKnight, Bilal Powell, Ganaway, John Conner

    DEFENSE (25)

    (2) DE -- Muhammad Wilkerson, Quinton Coples
    (4) DT -- Sione Pouha, Mike DeVito, Kenrick Ellis, Marcus Dixon
    (4) OLB -- Bryan Thomas, Calvin Pace, Aaron Maybin, Garrett McIntyre
    (5) ILB -- David Harris, Bart Scott, Josh Mauga, Nick Bellore, Demario Davis
    (5) CB -- Darrelle Revis, Antonio Cromartie, Kyle Wilson, Ellis Lankster, Trufant
    (5) S -- LaRon Landry, Yeremiah Bell, Eric Smith, Antonio Allen, Josh Bush

Bubble Players Schillen, Turner, White, Griffin, Baker, Cumberland, Sapp, McIntyre, Mauga, Bellore, Trufant, Richardson, Posey, Brown and Folk.

    SPECIAL TEAMS (3)

    PK -- Josh Brown
    P -- T.J. Conley
    LS -- Tanner Purdum

    Practice Squad
    Simms
Robert Griffin _ I am betting they sign another OL.
    Hayden Smith
    Sapp

    Late Pick-ups
    Blocking TE
    Back-up OL

    The battles appear to be:
    1. Posey v, Trufant
    2. Schillens, White and Turner for the number 5 spot. White and Turner have the edge as they play ST. But if Hill does not look ready Schillens is nice to have.
    3. Do we keep a 4th RB in Ganaway. If one counts Tebow thats 4 RBs already.
    4. Do we pick up a blocking TE and drop Baker or Cumberland?
    5. Do we pick up some OL insurance or do we keep Griffin?
    6. Sapp vs. Bellore and Mauga. Sapp sounds like a luxury but if he performs the next 3 weeks maybe we say goodbye to Bellore or Mauga.
    7. The DL just seems to deep to keep Richardson. It would mean keeping 7 DL. I would think this is very unlikely.
    8. The smallest chance we pick up a punter to upgrade our punting. This is more me wanting a new punter than any realistic possibility.

The rest of the team appears to be set. I cannot recall a pre-season where so few spots were up for grab.
