At least we get the Steelers at home. Much better. Chief road game will be brutal, @ Packers - brutal We better look to acquire more weapons. Tough offensive teams early on. I don't feel confident in the Jets putting 21 on the board each and every week because that will NEED to happen.
Rich Cimini @RichCimini2 mins Jets' pass defense is suspect, and they face 5 of top 6 passing offenses from '13 in rapid-fire succession, Wks 2-6. That's scary. #nyj
Broncos followed by Patriots on a short week. Yikes. Strange to play 3 straight NFC North teams in weeks 2-4.
Weeks 2-7 are brutal. Don't want to get into predicting wins and losses until we have a better idea what the roster is going to look at but right now looking at weeks 2-7 I don't think we walk away with a lot of Ws.
Wow the Jets schedule through 10 games is absolutely brutal. Only positives are that we open with a winnable game, and have 3/4 of our first opponents be non conference. The passing offenses we will face in weeks 2-6!!!??? Wow .... Do you folks still feel comfortable throwing Darrin Walls out there. Not me. I think this only accentuates filling in secondary or pass rush with 2 of the first 3 round picks. Wow those first 10 games are brutal. We get Denver on a Sun, coming off a west coast trip, THEN have 3 days to prep for NE. Absolutely brutal. Good news is that the last 6 are not scary at first glance (of course a lot can change) except for NE. 5 out of those 6 games the elements could be a factor. Minny is outdoors this year. The good thing about getting these pass oriented teams is it takes 1-2 weeks for them to click. Sucks Oakland isn't going to be one of those teams.
Except for week 1, the first 7 weeks are brutal, against very good QBs. I sure hope we pick up a starting CB between now and then. Weeks 2 through 7: Rodgers, Cutler, Stafford, Rivers, Manning, Brady
Should be an interesting beginning to the season. The good thing is, we should be able to run the ball at will against those teams. They aren't that good against the run.
Cant get too high or too low on the schedule. Last season we all looked at New Orleans and Atlanta and figured loss. Thought Carolina late in the season would be an easier game then it was. Kinda hard to predict anything at this point before the draft and not even factoring injuries. With that said Oakland at home is a favorable matchup even with all their signings. Hopefully we get off to a nice fast start and bring some confidence into the following games against what will most likely be tougher opponents.
The Chicago game is a home game for us... We gotta go to Minnesota in Week 15... They are gonna freeze their asses off.
Really? If the Jets ever opened with 3 of their first 4 on the road you would be claiming that the League is plotting for the Pats to win the AFCE. Jets open at home for either the 4th or 5th straight year.
