They'll probably cut Marcus Henry to get Woodhead on, and probably Jack Simmons if they want to keep Renkart. Then one of the Giants RBs will go down and Woodhead is going to get snapped up off of the PS.

Although there have also been conflicting reports that he was claimed by another team, here is one with better news. But only time will tell I guess.

BACK FOR MORE: Even though he isn't on the eight-man practice squad announced Monday, underdog RB Danny Woodhead, who cleared waivers Monday, is expected to return to the Jets in the coming days. Look for him to be re-signed to the practice squad.

What? Didn't any of the other 31 teams in the league appreciate that this guy is the heart and the soul of any team he's on, and could well rush for 3000 yards in a season if only given the chance?

I'll be very glad if this is true.

I'm surprised that Al Davis didn't sign him based on Pro Day numbers alone. Have you seen his numbers?

I have. I can only think that Al was too busy watching a Labor Day Matlock marathon to pay attention to the waiver wire.
