You need good vision to be a short yardage back, hence why LT was it when he was here. Greene's worst quality is his vision. He's no short yardage back.

I agree. Greene has no quickness. I hope powell starts getting more carries

You would think they would realize that by now? We'll see how next week turns out.

Powell is just better; faster and more elusive. Other than that bad drop he had in the 4th quarter on 3rd and six, he played a solid game.

It strange that Greene can only muster 0-2 yards with the OL's blocking, but insert Powell and he suddenly bursts for 4-6 yards consistently, plus he can get to the outside or make a defender miss, something that is very rare of Greene.

Powell needs to be the starter from now on, hands down.

    You're spot on.

I've always been fairly supportive of Greene but he's only got one mode, run straight up field and lower the shoulder into the first guy he meets, and he never breaks those tackles anyway. It's not the worst attribute of a running back, it's better than a guy who dances behind the line and it would make him a good short yardage back.

Powell is more elusive and can cut behind his blocks. I'm not convinced that our run blocking is that bad and a more patient, elusive runner may get the run game going.

    Greene Vs Powell

At this point in the season we need our RB's to step up in the worst way. Powell has great acceleration and is capable of making some nice plays and moving the pile. Im so tired of watching Greene gain 2 yards on every play he is horrible on so many levels i cant take watching him anymore. Is there any chance at all we start Powell???

It's time to make the change. Powell is flat out running better than Shonn right now. Plus, he gives us a viable option as a pass receiver out of the backfield

I just don't see Rex making the change even though he should, on any other team in the NFL Greene is a number 2 or 3

I said Powell should start and we should trade Greene while he had value (before the season started).

Greene sucks so bad it's not even funny.

Powell needs to be the starter. Much more speed, better field vision, just brings more to the table for us.

Heck , Greene can't even get his normal 2yds fall in the redzone. What is his value to the team?
