Also, we should have given Ganaway a shot IMO.

I like Poowell ..i liked him coming out of college.. and if he could get some blocks I think he will iimpress some people; I still think Mcnight is a weapon with the ball in his hands and a couple passes to him might open things up-

I don't know why we are seeing more of Demario Davis.. especially with so many people torching our MLBs in coverage..I know people think Harris is pretty good in coverage but I am not to sure about that anymore. Antonio allen as a lineback on passing down could also be explored.

Give him a shot. Fuck it. Its pretty obvious Greene is an average back, slightly above at best. I can't imagined Powell not giving at least similar production. He's also an every down back while Greene is effectively useless on 3rd down

Damn it's 2 weeks complete & ppl are losing there marbles smh...
You got to be kidding me. There was a whole off season, pre season etc

And the coaches declared Greene the starter, there must be a damn reason. I don't think our coaches are clowns like some of us think they are. They understand the game and know who gives us the best shot to win. That is why Powell over took Mcnights job.

Maybe if Powell continues to improve he can start but it's the 3rd damn week.
How abt we fully evaluate this new offense under our new coordinator and then we can cry.

One bad week and ppl want Sanchez, Holmes, and Greene to sit. Before the Steelers game ppl were ready to annoint Kellers job to cumberland, how did that experiment go?

    Cmon bro...

Alan Faneca, Trent Richardson & Damien Woody being replaced by Slauson, Connor and whoever + more mileage on a worn Brandon Moore is what happened....... Look at Thomas Jones, the season he went to KC.

It's amazing what a good line can do for a team

After last week I'm not totally opposed to the idea. I've been a big supporter of Shonn Greene for years, but he just either doesn't get it or doesn't have it. I know he used to spend a lot of time at the strip clubs, not sure if he is anymore, but man has he been disappointing.

It doesnt take more than 2 weeks to realize Greene has terrible vision, can not break a tackle, isn't explosive and is useless on 3rd down. Now factor in that it has been a problem for over a year, and its time to move on from Greene as our "workhorse". Feed the hot hand.

Greene has left so many yards on the field it is pretty impressive. Wrong lane after wrong cut, and he still gets the ball 25 times a game. There are about 30 other RB's I would rather give the ball 25 times in the league not named Shonn Greene.

If you cant see that he is a problem then Im sorry...

Yeah. I used to wonder how the hell Denver kept getting these fantastic RB. Then when they got traded they didn't do so well. Soon I realized how a good run block o-line can make any decent RB look like a world beater.

Greene is a decent RB who got over hyped. He does a lot of good things you take for granted like, hold on to the ball, run down hill, not taking losses. He's just not Adrian Peterson scary.

    I'm certainly not against it.

There's at least no reason why we don't have a 60/40 split and keep each guy fresh. See who is more impressive and play him.

I hated when LT was on the team and they limited his carries because they wanted to give Greene the load. That worked out well (not). In my opinion that killed the running game.

Its ridiculous that they did not go out and add some kind of RB this offseason, if not just for depth. I mean, behind Powell there is literally nothing. McKnight has simply proven that he cannot pass-block for his life, so he's useless. Greene always gets hurt, and simply is not that good even when he plays. You're telling me we're supposed to be this "ground and pound" team with Bilal Powell?!?!? Why not just make that dude Tebow play RB, he's got the build and talent. Just do it already!!!

They should alternate between Greene and Powell and occasionally McKnight. Greene is not a guy that can be the primary runningback.

He should've played the rest of the game when Greene got hurt. I can't believe they kept playing Greene when he looked like he was in outer space.

The thing that bothers me most about Greene is that he showed flashes of being a two dimensional back...run you over and be able to cut when needed. The problem with the front office and fans like myself is that the playoff games in our first Rex run showed a different back...a back that could cut and go the distance.

That back probably prevented the front office of going after another back and the following year..still hoping it would return.

It doesnt look like it will. Greene looked overweight at times and showed no ability at all to break a run since that first playoff explosion. He chooses contact instead of yards on every run.

Not popular im sure...but i would love to see J.M. get more looks back there.

Greene isn't "terrible" for christ sake. He's just not being used properly. He's mediocre and isn't an every down back at this point.

Remember when Thomas Jones used to be able to look like a top 5 running back behind our offensive line? Ah, the good ol' days.

I miss Tony, Damien, and Alan, all 3 of those spots are major question marks on our team now, though I will admit Austin Howard has looked impressive so far. Still, it will take more than 2 weeks to convince me he is the long term solution.
