LOL Cincy who?? I think we can easily beat Cincy, and if we do facing the Bengals in the first week of the playoffs will be a tough one. Too bad we can't play Cincy twice and talk about that, hmmm??
You think we can beat cincy easy, im pretty sure we are the same team that just lost 10-7 to the falcons.
+1 i think the jets are the tale of two teams....when they show up they can beat anyone but any given week any version of the jets can show up. i do think we can beat cincy at full strength but i wouldn't say easily first lets see if the jets can beat their backups on sunday night and lets hope the pats win
ESPN are up the Pats asses all year long. How the hell are they under the radar? Also, please don't talk about playoffs and the Jets until we actually beat Cincy.
You are not wrong, other sites are. Im simply going by the tie breaking rules on NFL.com. If three or more teams are tied for wildcard spot, then the leader in each division is division is picked. Pittsburgh will be eliminated and only Ravens will be considered in the next tie breaking rule(assuming Pitts, Jets, Ravens, Texans, and Broncos all win). Out of Jets, Ravens, Denver, and Houston, Houston is eliminated for having the worst conference record at 6-6 while Jets, Ravens, and Denver will have 7-5 each. Jets get the nod over Denver since denver Indy and Oakland while beating NE, Oak, and Cincy(3-2 record in common opponnents). Jets beat NE, Cincy(assumption), Oak, and Indy while losing one to NE (4-1). Ravens lost to every one, NE, cincy, Cincy, Indy (0-4). Ravens didn't play Oakland. Head to head games only count when all three have pretty much played each other. Without Oakland, Jets are 3-1, Denver 2-1 and ravens 0-4. If this method stands, Ravens are out, Jets take the lead and Denver take over number 6 seed. But it did say a minimum of 4 games in common opponents. Oakland played Denver and Jets but not the Ravens. Does that mean those games don't count? If not, the strength of victory victory is the next tie breaker. http://www.nfl.com/standings/tiebreakingprocedures
Jets held Brees to 10 offensive points, Schaub to zero offensive points, and Brady to 9 (first game). Manning was held to 15 in almost 3 quarters. We took a lot of bullshit for beating the a one quarter less Manning's Colts. I would like the Pats to lose while we thrash the Cincy at full strength.
Defense isnt the only part of the game. We held Brees to 10 and gave up 24. Im sure we are all confident our D will play a good game its our offense and special teams which doesnt always get up to play.
Scenario: Only one of the four other 8-7 teams win. New England beats Houston. We tie Cincinnati. 1)Indy 2)SD 3)NE 4)Cincinnati 5)The 9-7 team 6)J-E-T-S Jets in Foxboro.
i hear you....the jets defense was keeping the team in the game but its hard to say if the jets would of won if manning played the full game...i won't say they would of and i won't say they wouldn't of....all i will say is they won the game and move on
