90% chance Gase sets the franchise back 7 years

9% chance he wallows in mediocrity and only sets us back 4 years

    1% chance this works

    Rooting for the last scenario

They already bypassed the Rooney Rule when they named Gase GM

My biggest hope is we will put the BPA draft strategy away. I wonder if Gase was happy with Macc last draft? I mean he's blasting his top two free agent signings.

I don’t buy that, there is fantastic hunting and fishing all over upstate NY. 3 or 4 hours out and you’re in hick country easy. Nevermind Pennsylvania.

I don't think it applies to acting positions, only permanent ones. Gase is only acting GM (until the team hires a permanent GM).

Tony Pauline was on either "Turn on the Jets" or "Play like a Jet", I forget which I listing to a ton of podcasts at work, and said that Paradis was in town on the first day of free agency expecting to sign a contract and never got offered one. So take that for what you will.

Mangold was also a big hunting, fishing redneck of a guy. Players do that stuff in the offseason at home. They simply don't have time for it in season. I doubt that would have stopped Paradis if we offered him a good deal. Judging by the reports to the contrary and how much Gase talks up the comfort level on Harrison, you can bet and player he says he is comfortable with he wants replaced.

100% incorrect. They never named him the general manager therefore they didn’t bypass the rule.

You would think that these imbeciles known as the Johnson brothers, after so many do overs would have this down to a science by now , but nope. I mean Tom Petty sang " even the losers get lucky some times " but not the brothers Johnson !

I’m trying to understand why CJ is getting flak for firing Macc.

Even giving him flak for doing it too late isn’t worth the criticism.

He did what needed to be done.

    It was mainly Casserly.

Wolf probably wanted his kid but couldn’t be convincing enough.

Wolf was part of the last Browns draft which was solid.

I don't know how it can be just Casserly. The Jets paid both of them for their input /advice and you're saying it was all Casserly? The Jets didn't get their money's worth for sure.

Jeti, how many times can these Johnson imbeciles force a coach ( and in our current situation a BAD coach with a Napoleon complex ) on a GM ? It is Rinse and Repeat, it never ends. It is my understanding that when you say " we have a plan " and then again years later say " we have a plan " and then years later once again you say " we have a plan " ( now keep in mind there are a few other years and plans that I did not even mention ) and the plan is absolute garbage and the plan shows zero success and flat out does not work that people say " your plan blows its time for plan Z or did we already exhaust plan Z and we are on plan AA ? People are bent because although many Including myself thought Mac should have been shit canned years ago at least that IMO = the Johnson absolutely positively should have fired him with Bowels that was the time to blow this up---> doing it now after you gave the guy a vote of confidence ( again ) and after you let him hire the coach ( whom is a main reason Mac was fired ) and after allowing Mac to spend over $100 million on FA's and allowing Mac to run your draft and then appointing the Coach ( who most here did not want in the first place ) and appointing him temporary GM is exactly why The Johnson Imbeciles are getting well deserved flak.

Casserly drafted Bowles and hired Macc in Houston. Those were his guys.
