I don't know about everyone else, but I don't blame everything on Chad. He was definitely a huge part of the problem today and our offense is pretty much a joke. On 2 of his interceptions he had a lot of time to throw the ball and still threw ill advised passes to the defenders. The third interception was just a stupid ass decision on 1st down in the red zone. The o-line was very good in pass protection today too.

He's not helping this offense. Give me Clemens, Chad must go. He doesn't have to be the whole problem. We have a potential upgrade sitting on the bench, let's put him in now.

Teams will continue and continue and continue to stack the box because they don't fear Chad's arm and I can't say I blame them.

Same here. And quite frankly, regardless if Chad or Clemens is the better quarterback right now, Clemens is the future, and Chad is limited. We know what Chad is. And regardless if you love Chad or hate Chad, it's pretty hard to argue that he's any better than an average quarterback (and if you're being realistic, he's not average). We have a young quarterback in the wings in Kellen Clemens. Vinny was likable, but limited, too. We had a young QB in Chad Pennington who was ready to take his shot. A similar scenario exists now. Make the move to the younger quarterback. Could he be worse than Chad? Of course. But you never know until you try, and I know that unless Chad's supporting cast becomes the '85 Bears' defense and the Colts' offense, we're going nowhere important with him.

My first vote for Kellen. It is tough for me, but I am a Jets fan more then I am a Chad fan. Much more. It is hard not to root for Chad, but if Kellen is indeed the future, the future should to start soon at this point. I know Chad will take this transition with the same dignity and class he has shown throughout his career as a Jets QB.

If Kellen gets brought in, I hope we all can give him the support he needs and not tear him apart so quickly if he is not Peyton Manning right away. I hope we can all 'really' give him a chance.

It's also very easy to say that the majority is blaming Pennington for losses. Almost like sticking your head in the sand week after week. There are some people like that, but I see the majority of people looking toward the future based on the performances they see on the field and not just box score stats. Chad isn't the reason we lose, but he is a very big reason why we can't come back in games or put teams away.

I have supported Chad till the last couple of weeks. Now he has completely lost me and if Mangini doesn't get the message soon, he'll loose the fans and probably the team as well. Stupid football stubborness gets you only so far, then the house of cards collapses.

I hate to be picky, but after that game and seeing my fantasy team go down in flames I am in a bad mood.

This is football, not figure skating. Unless you are friends with Pennington and/or Clemens, you should call them by their last names.

No he's not. The Bears have been watching the same arm we have the last few weeks. My guess is Chad has no trade value at this point. The 5 INT's the last two weeks have included arm issues and judgement problems. He's completely melted down as a QB. There's no market for that and no time for him to redeem himself because it isn't going to get better against Philly next week.

    Kellen.

This team is not getting it done.
I've seen many a post that Chad is the emotional leader of this team. Right now he's lead them to being flat and underproducing.

His decision making has been poor and thats his best asset.

Give me the kid and lets see whaqt he can do.

Agreed, no one is going to trade for Pennington at this point.. and just two weeks ago we could have probably gotten a 5th or 6th rounder for him. Maybe a couple of wins too...

I think he might have brought a first day pick and a player on one of the lines.

i am a big chad fan and have sad he is our best chance to win for a few years now, but watching him the lst few weeks out offense is limited to 20 yards or less and his go to pass - the corner floater - is not scary from 15 yards out. Kellen gives the team chance to open things up all over the field - chad just can't do that with his arm. Defenders have all day to react to chads throws and close the gap. Kellen will not only open the field up and also allow more YAC because the receivers will have the ball faster and have time to make a move. Tim to give kellen a chance and see if we have our QB of the future.

Chad was awful the last two games. I don't know where this solid stuff is coming from. The pass he threw that got picked off near the end zone lost them the game.

The sad part is, you are absolutely correct. The only way the offense moves the ball is when Chad throws. The entire 1st half, the offense looked terrible and then we had to throw with the 2 minute drill and we scored. Got the INT and Mangini wen't ultra conservative with a run. What the hell was that? '

What I am trying to say is we have no running game, and I only counted more than 7 in the box once today when we ran the football. The entire game is on the QB's shoulders. This is ok, until we have to force passes and take chances down the field. I think the defense is awful against the run and I think the play calling sucks and the offensive line is very passive and terrible run blockers. The bottom line is Chad made some stupid mistakes the last two weeks and gave everybody the chance to make him the scapegoat, so he will probably be replaced. The shame of it is, Chad did everything today that you guys wanted him to do. He went down field and completed balls. All the credit will be given to the WR's because no credit can be given to Chad. If the defense did not allow 4.8 yards per carry and 188 yards, we would have won this game.
