I've always been a big Chad supporter, but lately his once outstanding decision-making has really come into question. At this point, the mistakes we can expect with a first-year starter are arguably no worse than some of what Chad has been doing this year. and I think it's worse than the INT # show b/c he's gotten lucky on easy pics several times and none of his INTs have been the "hit the receiver in the hands, but he tipped it in the air for the DB to grab" type. We are in a deep hole, maybe a change lights a fire. If not, we get KC some needed experience for next year. (it sickens me to even say "next year" in October...this sucks.
thank you for posting... but the wrong message to the team would be " we're gonna stick with this guy cuz we like him personally... even thou he has no ability to throw downfield and he might get one of you killed with one of his ducks"
You really can't pick a most ridiculous excerpt of that post, can you? Actually, the "solid season" part probably takes the cake. But the "wrong message" idea is a close second.
What kind of a message does continuing to trot out a QB that can't throw and is making poor decisions send to your team?
You are a fucking disgrace to the NFL. You suck! Sit down! Don't get back up! Mangini, Start Clemens, or else, I want your head!
Your point is well taken, but at this point I do not see how we are going to the playoffs this year. Mathematically, it is still a possibility, but it is very, very, very, unlikely. Maybe not quite yet on pulling Chad for Clemens, but if we go to 1 - 5 we might as well. Clemens will be much better prepared for next year if he gets some decent playing time this year.
Strip him of the captain band, and leave coles with his. Put kellen in and Trade chad for a 5th round pick to the bears or vikings.
It is time guys...It isn't even worth arguing about anymore. Chad Pennington is ineffective and our team is losing games and morale. Time to plug in the younger strong armed QB.
On SNY post-game, Mangini says CP is still his QB He also said he will look at film though...maybe THEN he makes the switch Will be weird having a Capt on the sidelines, but who cares
At (1-4) the season is almost over. Add in Chad's 3 INT's and lack of deep throw ability, and it is time for Kellen Clemens to show the Jets fans if he is the future or not.
What happened to Chad in the second half, it was like he was trying to prove that he can throw deep, and it cost us the game. I cant believe he still went back in for the last series
And that message would be, "Time to go in another direction." Yes, the defense, top to bottom is playing poorly. On the other side, Chad is performing so poorly compared to everybody else. Stop with his completions % already. It's over, time to move on...
