The problem with trading him is his actual value. You're going to get a 5 for him and until we can replace and cut him because we have something better it's probably not worth doing it. A 5 is better than nothing but Sam need someone to throw to for the rest of the season.

I think you could get good value for him. More than a 5th. 3rd maybe.

Wide receivers at the trade deadline always do well. And there are some contending teams that already have solid options in the passing game but could really really use a deep threat. OR they feel that a deep threat could put them over the top. New Orleans Saints, Green Bay Packers, Houston Texans

Robbie has become a guy that will catch two long TDs a year and maybe have a hundred yard game when he does. The rest of the time he will catch 3 or 4 passes a game for 40 yards. Nobody is going to pay a 3rd for that, and if they do we better take it.

Those saying "Sam needs someone to pass it to the rest of the year" need not worry. Robbie is averaging 2.9 catches a game. Lower than both Crowder and DT. Even though we line him up as a first or second, he is still only what he would be on a good team. A situational 3rd WR.

stop looking at stats. it's our offense. robby would be a 1k yard WR on most teams. no WR with falk, mccown etc throwing to him would have 1k yards.

Gun to my head I say keep him, but if someone came calling with a 3rd (a 2nd would be a gift) it would be hard to pass up.

It will be the end of Gase for me if he ships Robby out of the Jets, the goggle eyed twat needs to scheme him open, even Bowles and his backward crew could manage that with both Sam and Peter Pan as QB.

Yes its our offense. And in our offense Crowder and DT average more catches a game than Robbie. He is not a #1 or #2 WR. That is part of our problem on offense.

Yes, I ignored this one as I ranted in the other, can't do it twice, I could just copy and paste it though, absolute joke of a fan.

thinking a 3rd may do it with a juicy clause about td's that could juice it up to second.

He's not under contract, he's a one trick pony and he's a rental for 9 games. No shot at getting a 3.

I just don't know where everyone sees all this talent associated with him. Does anyone remember Darius Heyward-Bey? Similar play. He almost had an identical season to Robbie's best in Oakland. They're like the same player. Once teams figure out you aren't very good at going over the middle they just tell a corner to bracket you to the sideline and play 15 yards off.

There's no doubt in my mind that he's fast and will catch some long touchdowns.

There's no scheming him open. He runs two routes. Fly and deep out to the sideline. He's not the type of guy that takes a 20 yard deep crossing drag and makes people miss in the open field. He's not elusive he's just fast as fuck.

I swear, only thing dumber than Jets management is Jets fans. Yea let’s send out our only half way decent threat for a 3rd rd pick and then bitch and moan when our young QB doesn’t develop, while creating even more holes on the roster.

they get more targets and more easier high % balls thrown their way. Sam has missed robby on probably 5-6 open deep TD bombs this year. how is it his fault? he's open. Robby can run the routes crowder and DT can but they can't run the routes he does. You need to throw out the stats and actually watch a game or 2. I actually did a breakdown of robby in the off-season here. If stats are your argument then lol

finally a little voice of reason here besides me.
I swear most people here just go look at the stats and base their entire judgement of everyone on the team based on that alone

DHB is nowhere near the WR robby is. and he runs way more routes then that. your opinion is bad and you should feel bad. go watch robby play and stop with the fake news

I am totally split on this decision

Anderson is fast , nothing great but when he catches the Bomb from Darnold most teams are psyched out

    What to do?

    Let the Market decide
