This is a lot of nonsense, Kerley is at best a #3 or #4 on any top 10 NFL team. Your love of Wilkerson is completely over the top, the guy has done nothing this year to be warranted with the praise you're giving him, he looks solid and could be dominant but he is no where near the best in the league, or right below JJ Watt, he may be but he hasn't done it yet. Landry can't cover, pretty obvious. Powell, I swear you guys are just so accustomed to bad running backs Bilal Powell looks like a keeper, guy can easily be dumped for just about any backup RB in the league and the Jets don't miss a beat.

If Landry can't cover, and we all should know that Bell could cover even less, than we must have 3 shutdown corners on this team.

Landry is known for ignoring coverage for the sake of the big hit, it's his game. I didn't write the book on the guy.

I'm willing to bet that 14 teams disagree with you. The Jets, and the 13 teams they played. Wilkerson influences every single play. It really doesn't matter if you agree with me now because in another year or two, when he starts getting attention not only from people who actually watch film and analyze talent(like he is now), but from hacks like Rich Cimini, you will agree with me anyway.

Like I said, we must have 3 shutdown corners then.

What does that mean? Please give me an example of when he ignored converage for the sake of a big hit.

After a down year in 2011, it was nice to see Brick play the way he did this year.

I think Wilkerson has the potential to get to JJ Watt level disruption but he isn't "right there with him" already. He has shown steady progression and is a good pick so far. If he and Coples get better well be in good shape.

His game is not to cover and stop the receiver from making the play but to hit after the catch to dislodge the football this leads to a lot of big hits but a lot of blown coverage too, he has always been thrown on effectively, he is not know for his ability to cover, he's know for his big hits.

As for "3 shut down corners" we had nearly the worst run defense in the league, teams simply didn't need to throw on us, toss in the constant turnovers, butt fumbles and special teams disasters and you didn't need to air it out against the Jets.

Alright then. Makes perfect sense. Teams didn't need to throw on the Jets. Yeah 25th ranked rush D but 2nd pass D. They didn't just run against us. You can win a game in the NFL by just rushing for 136 yards. There has to be some pass defense in there and if Kyle Wilson is as bad as people say and Landry is as bad as you say wouldn't they feel free to pass on these Jets?

Your one of those guys that comes here and complains about everything, your saying that there's not one positive thing about this season. 6-10, not 2-14

PFF, using their advanced stats and metrics, said he's already a top 5 DE against the run, and one of the best DE in the NFL. He's not up there with Watt, but he's certainly in the top 10 already right now which is impressive with just 2 yrs in the league.

"The Jets finally hit on a pick in first-rounder Muhammad Wilkerson, who has established himself as one of the best 3-4 defensive ends in the league. His 11.3 run stop percentage ranks third at the position, while his 6.2 pass rush productivity (which measures how often a pass-rusher generates pressure on the quarterback) ranks ninth."

    My list:

    1) Wilkerson: for the points I quoted above
    2) Coples: Really came on the last few games of the season. Him and Wilk will be an absolute force next year.
    3) Kerley: Managed 800+ yds in an anemic offense. Doesn't have the size of a top receiver, but he's an excellent #3 guy.
    4) Brick: Quietly had an elite season at LT. Allowed very few pressures and only 1 sack I believe.

Yup, not to mention that he is ranked #2 amongst all DEs and DTs in fantasy points. I know it doesn't tell the whole story but it says a lot considering fantasy points are acquired with sacks, tackles, forced fumbles, QB hits and pass defenses. To be ranked that high as a 3-4 DE in incredible. He should be pro bowl.

Wilk is my biggest positive of the year. #2 has to go to Cromartie stepping up. #3 is Landry. #4 is Kyle Wilson stepping up. #5 is Coples getting things going late in the year. Kerley would be another positive, although he's much better in the slot than running deep routes, which is kind of a shame, because he seems like the kind of guy that would excel at that.

To add to my list, FootballOutsiders ranked the Jets 12th against #2 receivers. If we go under the assumption that Wilson played the majority #2s then he had a pretty decent year.

Based on progression, consistency, level of play and overall impression, this would be my list:

    1 - Malone
    2 - Wilkerson
    3 - Cromartie

    Honors:
McIntyre - a solid piece as a platoon player, improved this year, far from stellar
D'Brick - as said, quietly had a very strong season on an at times abysmal unit
Coples - showed promise he could catch up to Wilk sooner rather than later

Though it's been really short so far, Braylon's return and play.
