but i still maintain my LB/DE hybrid stance
he is often a stand up rushing LB
but on more than one occasion he is the 4th down lineman in a 3 or 4 pt stance and will either rush the QB or drop back in coverage once every little while

on the play you selected above he wasnt a rusher
you can tell because he didnt attack the TE at the snap of the ball
he takes 2 steps to make it look like he will rush and then stops to see what the TE does

the TE then stops pretending to block and breaks away to get open for a pass
Maybin follows him for about 2 steps proving that he was never a rusher on that play but in coverage

then maybin sees the QB break out of the pocket and chases him down because he was the last line of defense

the DL did a good job of collapsing the pocket that play
either they get the sack or the QB finds a hole and escapses and then becomes maybins responsibility

He's definitely a hybrid. I guess it is just weird for me to see him listed as part of the DL's grading scale because he's never in on obvious running downs, but I acknowledge he gets down in 3 pt a lot.

DL- D - SOS no pass rush and this year they cant even seem to help out in the running game AMAZINGLY enoguh ARON MAYBIN is the only reason this isnt an F

LB- C+ -With the Dline giving them little to no help the LBs get too much put on their shoulders. that being said they havent made enough big plays this year and our horrific run defense falls on their shoulders too
