Are you referring to Manish? I don't read any of his articles anymore, so I don't know what his opinion is and I don't care. He makes things too personal for a journalist.

The biggest problem the jets have had is lack of offense, in particular the qb play, contrary to popular belief it's not the defense.

We don't need a repeat of rex, we need a HC who can put together a good game plan week in and week out for all three facets of the team.

I don't think DM will bring that, in particular if he brings Hacket jr. Do you want to see Hacket jr as our OC?

I think it has more to do with the overwhelming evidence of him being average at best and people not wanting to settle for mediocrity at best again. But, hey, that's just me.

Absolutely not, and I've said as much in previous posts. Hackett v2 would be about the worst thing I can imagine.

I see arguments against Marrone because of his record and Buffalos offensive mediocrity. I have no problem with these arguments.

Then there are the arguments that there is too much drama surrounding him already. That's just silly.

Gotta be Bowles or Quinn... I prefer Bowles just because he had less to work with in Arizona.

he was honoring the contract he signed. He simply wanted to know where he stood with new management. they refused to commit. they knew he had the clause. they were saying "Go away."

Gary Patterson, but if not available I'll take Doug Marrone.

they could have just fired him after next year, New owners often clean house. He wanted them to state their intentions. It is really simple.

This discussion is about whether Marrone is disloyal or not. You have to try to look at it from Marrone's point of view. Why do you think he put that clause in the contract in the first place" He was clearly concerned that Wilson might die and different ownership might come in. He was protecting himself against just such a contingency. Pretty smart, if you ask me. And by his insisting on such a clause, the Bills were more than put on notice that this might happen. So when 5 new head coaching jobs open up, the Bills should know that this clause would come into play and that Marrone would approach them and ask them to shit or get off the pot. New owners frighten coaches. Parcells blew out of here when Hess died. He left New England because he tried working with Kraft and hated it. So I am not surprised one bit that Marrone left. And having said all that, I do not necessarily want him to coach the Jets, but not for reasons of disloyalty. But because I think we should be shooting for the moon. Unfortunately, the candidate pool is not inspiring, and there is no sure thing out there. Marrone might make them better than average. One of the unknowns might just have that certain something.

Marrone is smart, but is it mad-genius or con-artist? I would take Marrone over Rex any day. Buffalo had a lot less talent and played twice the level the Jets did this year. Additionally, he is able to admit when he makes a mistake (QB) and knows about true competition at every position..

I want someone with prior HC experience, tired of our HC learning this aspect of the job at our expense during the season.

I also believe in second chances in that some people continue to grow...which is why I want Kubiak.

8 yrs HC experience, playoff experience and discounting for his last HC season, above .500 W-L record. Offensive background provides best opportunity to groom new QB. Still only 53 years old. Been in the league a long time, I am certain he has lots of contacts to fill out a staff. Perhaps if he likes Thurman, he keeps him on as DC.

Don't get the love for Marrone at this point...Kubiak is much more established.

Agree on Kubiak. Too bad the Ravens won, now we have to wait and impatient people make stupid decisions.

I just want to know who the hell voted for Tom Cable. Probably the best troll move I've seen in a long while.

This poll needs a change vote option. After further consideration I want Kubiak over Quinn. Oh well

We'll be happy that the Ravens won when the beat the Pats on Saturday.

Kubiak is also my choice for HC.

Totally agree, i have no idea why we are not looking at college coaches when the current crop of potential hires are not very interesting.

Quinn, Kubiak, Reich would be my top 3. I also would like if the Jets interviewed Pep Hamilton but that may not be feasible with him still in the playoffs.
