That a serious question? - Jersey sales (near the top of the league when Tebow arrived) - More people attending games
attendance is always going to be similar and I believe they share jersey sales w/ all the teams. 2011 Jets home attendance: avg. 78,986 per game 2012: 79,088 the 102 more people per game was why he did it?
Maybe they projected more ticket sales and it blew up in their face. It was pretty obvious Tebow was a marketing move, he wasn't going to help us and he sure as hell did not give your boy Sanchez any favors.
Depends on how the seasons ends. I like Rex but unless the Jets end up with a winning record, I see Idzik/Woody parting ways with him. It's hard to keep a coach on who has missed the playoffs 4 years in a row and without a winning record. That's just not the NFL coaching works now. Idzik 100% has to stay. Rex needs to work a turn around otherwise I see Rex and the Jets parting ways, although I'm not sure if I necessarily agree with that. Depends on who we target after the fact
Bradwaysux has to back up Idzik after he was fapping about his "incredible value picks" of Milliner (dog shit) and Geno (human shit), and the redundant Richardson pick. I said when he was drafted that Idzik tied his fate to Geno. As I predicted, Geno has proven to be the worst startig QB in football two years in a row. That alone should get th guy canned.
I honestly believe they will keep both. Woody loves Rex and I don't think he will can him when the blame isn't entirely on him. I didn't expect to be a division winner or playoff team this year, but 12 draft picks and only one (Pryor) is a starter. Cumberland starts over Amaro every week. We need better talent evaluation for a team that claims to build through the draft
worst move we can make imo, is firing Rex while keeping Idzik, as i believe Idzik is most culpable for the current situation.. while i normally don't believe in the need to hire/fire coaches and GM's simultaneously, i do believe their fates should be tied together in this case. Team stays afloat or both go down with the ship. In other words, Rex and Geno in 2014 will end up determining if Idzik gets a 2015, rather than the other way around. ironic if they end up bailing Idzik out, when he's done so little to help them succeed. we have 2.5 months of football left to play. will be interesting to see if they can finish with pride, and beat some divisional opponents. That's what i'm hoping will happen, so as of now i voted to keep both.
Rex has to go, his act has worn thin and his ability to improve and become anything more then a DC has never materialized imo. Idzik to me is an anomaly, I still have no idea what he is but looking back at last season and now I'm all for getting rid of him. It absolutely scares the shit out of me to think he will be heading up another draft after the disastrous 2014 12 pick debacle . Get a "true " football guy in here and let him hire the coach. Let the suits do their cap wizardry behind the scenes.
Sure, why not? And along with that, Rex will get his 3rd young QB to 'develop' and his 4th Offensive coordinator as well...
the Stadium is basically sold out every game so projecting more ticket sales would have been foolish. Tebow was not a marketing move, he was a guy we thought could be a Brad Smith type but unfortunately Tebow was selfish and only wanted to play QB.
Why would we fire Rex? He got us within a few plays of the big dance. That's what Parcels did. Who are we going to replace him with? Pete Carroll? Oh wait we fired that bum. If we fire Rex we will fall into the abyss...again.
