What does he have to do to turn his career in NY around? Stats, leadership, abilities. Don't mention players around him please.

4000 yards, above 60% completion percentage, 25 TDs and ~10 total turnovers.

He would have to have one hell of a season to change my mind. With that said, I dont think he even think he starts next year. I dont want him to. Simply put, he does not deserve to.

4000 yards, with1000 yards in sacks, a60. % plus 250 drops by the receivers. 25 tds with 10 more called back because of penalties. 10 turnovers with 5 picks being tipped and luckily landing in the corners lap. 3 bad snaps by the center, not nacho's fault, and no butt fumble!

He pretty much needs to put up zero yards and stay inactive.

To me statistically I don't care, I need to see good football from quarters 1 through 4. We have yet to see him play great against a good defense and we have yet to see him play well on a consistent basis. Until I see that, he needs to be out of here after next season.

The thing about Sanchez is each year he'll have 2 games where he really looks great, about 6 games where he really looks bad, and about 6 games where he's average at best. He's living largely off the fact one of his few good games in 2010 was in the playoffs, despite nearly getting benched as the Jets backed in to the playoffs.

he will be the number 4 scout team qb for 16 games and be inactive every week and then waived at the end of the season

Why make a post asking to not talk about players around him, and then post this? Credibility lost.

Two years worth of progression would do it I think...

Granted, that's assuming he even gets the opportunity... that's a stretch.

It's not so much about yardage and TDs - I would need to see him cut his total turnovers to around one per game. If he can't demonstrate an ability to get a grip on his ridiculous turnovers he's useless.

However, in the spirit of the thread - 3,500 yards, 60% completions, 25 TDs, 10ints, six fumbles. We can win with that.

    W's are all that matter.

He needs to lead the team, not necessarily carry it.

    However - above 60% completions and a 2:1 or better TD:Int ratio.

All other stats are cannon fodder for fantasy teams. I don't care if he throws 50 yards a game as long as those 50 yds are timely and help the team win.

Not him, but the offense as a whole must average under his leadership...

No more than one turn-over a game, must average 21 points scoring per game, and win at least 10 games next year.

That is very conservative offense goals considering how good the Defense is and will be.

so much can happen btw now and then, who knows what weapons he will have? assuming he has decent weapons he'd have to significantly reduce bad TOs and help us win enough games to at the very least be in legit playoff contention the final weeks. You can't expect him to go from awful to top flight. he isn't a top flight guy but he is a guy we can win with and it starts w/ cutting back on the bad TOs.

    Stats are for losers.

1 VLT and all is forgiven. Trust me. Happened to another high-round bust named Phil Simms.

Even if he were to start, and achieve a 60% completion percentage, he would still fumble in big spots and throw dumb INTs. He has dumb INT and fumbling genes. Good bye to a bad buy.

WINNING...... and a 2-1 TDs to Turnover ratio would be nice too

    3500 yards, 60% completion %, 90 rating, and 2:1 TD:INT ratio.
