Knowing the Jets luck, Harbaugh would instantly morph into Urban Meyer and implode at Newark Airport after setting foot in the terminal.
Pete Carroll in a nutshell. Saleh needs to find a Division I football program to build and turn into a champion.
The only way the Jets get Harbaugh to come here is if they give him full control. No implosions happening in that scenario.
I wanted Arthur Smith, when Saleh was hired I had no clue who he was, I just went by what the other board members said about him. We have needed an offensive minded HC that calls plays like a Mcveigh, or Arthur Smith for a long time now and got it wrong again. I don’t know what to think anymore, Joe D hired his HC, jets went with a new scheme on defense and offense and nothing works! Nothing works for this team!
After almost 60 years of rooting for this team I'm as frustrated as anyone over the continued failure, but at the same time I think we all have to be realistic. After the last 10 years, this team was an absolute wreck. There was no way they were going to finish even at .500 this season, and that's only if EVERYTHING feel their way. Instead, we got another dose of Jets Luck with all the injuries on top of the normal growing pains from having a rookie CS, rookie QB, and rookies at other key positions, as well as a lot of players who wouldn't be starters on even decent teams. When you factor all that together, IDK how anyone can fairly judge this team. I'm not ready to say Douglas is a failure or Saleh or Wilson. I think this off season will be the deciding factor. They don't necessarily have to make the playoffs next season, but they need to be fighting for a spot until the last game. If that doesn't happen, I'll wish them godspeed on their move to London or wherever.
Totally agree. I've said it before and will keep saying it - Just want them to be competitive, don't care at the moment for wins v losses, just be a pro team and win/lose fairly. Surely not a lot to ask for as a fan. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
Yes. I think my main problem is that we have seen multiple times veterans mailing it in during games, rah-rah Saleh is over here supposedly instilling a willing culture and his veterans are setting the example that it's okay to suck. They should be the ones playing their hearts out instead of figuring out who's going to be on the left side of the pre-planned sack dance. They aren't, and that's on coaching. Head coaching.
I posted concern creating in, but you seem to capture what I have been thinking. It's all about coaching and so far, it seems this CS is not only poor but, in some case, downright bad.
Saleh either blows all the time outs too early or fails to use them thinking they can be saved for a rainy day. If he can't figure out the time out thing, how can he be expected to figure anything else out.
All I want is for this team to stop beating itself. I can accept being beaten by a better team. I can even accept being beaten badly by a better team BUT losing because of stupid, ill disciplined mistakes (hands to the face on EVERY third and long…). This is the kind of bullshit that poorly coached teams do. The fact that we are doing things like this so often, to me, is a major point of concern. I’m willing to give our coach one more year to straighten this out but as for now, I’ll remain in the casual fan category. I’m not going to waste the only day off I get every week to watch this pathetic example of “PROFESSIONAL” athletes.
4th and 7. 2:11 left on the clock and your down a touchdown with a 3-10 record. You fucking go for it Saleh. Smh.
This team is a dumpster fire from the QB, to the HC, to the defense. Dark days in Jet land and no end in sight
