We must draft Mariota at all costs...That speech, that character..This team desperately needs a franchise gamechanger
Thats the way I view it. Either he is an NFL starter or he isn't. If he is an NFL starter than he is worthy of a 1st round pick. I'm sorry, I know its gunna upset people, but I do not believe he will make it as an NFL starter. I believe Winston will be an NFL starter but Winston needs a background check done first before you can even consider him. The Jets will have to pay for a background investigation to figure out Winston's character....... So right now I would have to go with Cooper of the three, but if I can get the green light on Winston I would take him before Cooper.
Here's the thing. I have a feeling you don't understand that there are internet strangers here who you actually like and have respect for and you would actually love to have a beer with. Like Brooklyn. And there are illiterate douchebags who you really don't give a shit about. Do the math. _
LMAO because you have an infatuation with a QB that you are clearly misjudging. But that will become evident in the future, so for now you can give me posts to quote for when it does actually happen.
Can I ask why? I get that he is a dual threat Qb in college and that simply won't be (as) possible in the NFL which will make his transition more tough than if he had come from a pro system, but does that mean he won't make it as an NFL starter whatsoever? Just curious. People say he can't make reads or progressions but based on the tape I've watched, he has a better football IQ than most I've seen in the past few years. Mariota needs to improve in the pocket, I admit, but everything I've seen shows that he CAN become a starter in this league if he has the right team (and right coaching) around him. I just hope the Jets can be that team.
Correct! And none of those reasons have anything to do with the Heisman, or the cover of SI, or the cover of Madden, or the Easter Bunny.
100000% Or maybe we just draft a CB or OT or OLB and be mediocre for the next 4 decades without a franchise QB. Good plan. _
