that's irrelevant. the Chargers are going to want to beat the Raiders next week regardless.

The funny thing is the most unrealistic part of that scenario is the Jets winning :rofl2:

SNY said Jets need Titans to loss, Bengals loss, Raiders loss to make it

    Who do we believe?

Stength of victory can change also, so its guaranteed if we win and Titans, Bengals, and OAK/DEN lose. Its possible if we win and the Bengals and Oak or Den loses.

Don't you feel like an ass even looking at scenarios though? The Jets were flat out pathetic today.

The Jets should HAVE a better strenght of victory I think. That would be huge. because lets say we beat the Phins, the Ravens beat the Bengals.

The 4:00 games, the team 2 West teams will have pressure, chances are on of them loses. It will be exciting to.

    Guys

Steelers were 6th seed and won SB. Giants did the same. Green Bay was a Wild Card team last year. All I am saying is playoff football is different. No matter what your problems are, you can still be relevant in play offs. So please stop bashing people for discussing play off scenarios

I think the problem with the Titans is, if they beat the Texans their Strengh of Victory will go up a lot.

I dont think the Texans have anything to play for now either, I believe they are locked into the 3 seed. Our chances are bleek, unless im wrong about the Titans-Jets tiebreaker.

If he don't get fired, Rex will have to hire armed guards to walk him to his car after games.

The Texans are the #3 seed no matter what, it is true, so they have nothing to play for. However, after back to back bad outings, I am sure they will play hard to try to get back on track before the playoffs.

Alrite the only way the Titans make the playoffs is if WE WIN. and they end up in a 3-way tie with the Bengals and Us. That blows, the Titans season is in our hands, yet we need them to lose.

If the Chargers win today tho, and win next week and force a 4-way tie then its wild,

I think the Titans win the tie breaker against the Jets based common opponents.

NFL Network said the Jets get in ONLY in the following scenario:

    Jets win
    Bengals lose
    Titans lose
    Either Oakland or Denver lose

The Jets-Raiders tiebreaker is SOV but Jets-Titans is win percentage in common games. Titans hold the tiebreaker over the Jets.

Wouldn't Jets Raiders tiebreaker be head to head before SOV?

Sobering up here. Three-way tiebreakers don't go to H2H because each team must have played one another for that tiebreaker to apply, and because Cincy can't finish below the Raiders (forgot about the fucking bengals) the H2H doesn't apply.
