I can't believe we lost to the Texans. Patriots had the perfect game-plan for him and took him out of the game, they doubled him nearly each and every time. Mean-while we were planning on playing him 1 on 1. Not so smart on our part.
Yeah, I just ran scenarios through the Playoff Machine thing, and the Jets have no chance to win the AFC East. It is just a formality I guess. I even did it to the point where the Chiefs, Jets, Steelers, Patriots, and Bengals all were 11-5 and the Jets lost all the tiebreakers and ended up the #6 seed. Haha.
root for the giants to lose tonight. Pit-Bal game on Dec. 27th gets flexed to primetime if giants lose. You would think Bal would not want to get embarrassed, and play a bit harder on national TV.
If the Jets win out they should make the playoffs. I used a simple binomial theorem calculation and lets just say for fun that both teams we are in contention with are favored to win each game as a 60% favorite in each one. The probability of them winning all 3 games would be 21.6%. In other words it isn't very likely. However, you could flip that and say its not very likely that the Jets win out either. But if they can find a way, you should see them sitting in the playoffs.
Nothing like binomial theorem calculations when you need them Big Bang Theory gang would be proud of you
As much as I despise Bellicheat, I have to give credit where credit is due, his style of coaching is not some unfathomable riddle that cannot be solved. The simplicity of his approach is the genius of it. It can be copied by anyone else, and that's what scares me about this game against Dallas, if the jets look at the game plan that the packers used to gain 233 yards against them, they should come out with a win and solidify their playoff position, but as we know in the NFL, CS have to come up with their own game plan and try to reinvent the wheel.
I just ran through it and got the Jets winning the East and going in as 3rd seed, with NE at 11-5 and the 5th seed. So it's technically possible--just requires some very unlikely things, like the Chiefs ending at 10-6 or worse, the Pats losing out, the Jets winning out..... You know, craziness. --just to satisfy my curiosity, I changed all the AFC results in week 17 except the Pats and Jets games, and it didn't change a thing. Nuts.
