I agree. I don't know this for a fact, but I would bet a good amount of money that a team has NEVER lost 5 straight games and also won 10 straight games in the same season. It's highly unlikely ... A VERY strange way to get to 11-5. Although the 1986 Jets won 9 straight games, and lost the last 5 to get to 10-6. I think the Chiefs will lose at least one more. The Chiefs and Steelers fans are probably saying the same thing about us. I'm not sure any of us will get to 11 wins, but If we do get there, we should be fine. I'm much more worried about winning our games, than I am about other teams losing.

Only two teams in the 35 seasons of the 16 game schedule have sat home at 11-5 ... And only ONE since they expanded to 12 playoff teams in 1990. Ironically it was the 2008 Patriots ... QB'd by the guy we face on Saturday night.

Baltimore has MAILED it in. It will be a big big surprise if Baltimore beats them IMO

No hope of beating KC, yes. But Baltimore will get up to play Pittsburgh, that I know for sure.

That 2007 team was a cluster. Was at the last game of the year at the meadowlands, and I remember the Jets, Dolphins and Pats all alive for a playoff birth, and i think we ended the season against miami, we were wining after a quarter, Pats were winning, and after we fell behind, everyone in the stands wanted Miami to get in over NE. So they wanted the Jets to throw the game. The Sabremetrician in me wants to say that there is no way the Chiefs will run the table.

I think we can run the table, NE doesn't look the the Juggernaut it did earlier in the season. Yes Gronk is Gronk, but we should be able to pressure Brady bc our D line is playing much better now than when we first played.

The reason why i bring this up is its looking more and more that in order get in, it looks like we have to run the table. So the 1 loss that people were giving us to NE is no longer a luxury we can afford

If the Jets absolutely HAVE to lose, its gotta be this Saturday against a non conference opponent.. We can't afford to drop anymore AFC games.

I hope that Raiders and or Texans game don't come back to haunt us.

Hoyer out with a concussion. Hasselback out with a rib injury, Luck not ready to return.

This Sunday: TJ Yates vs Charlie Whitehurst for sole possession of first place at 7-7. And here we are talking about scenarios we go 11-5 and stay home.

Just shitty luck (pun intended ;)). But maybe we'll somehow get some luck thrown our way.

The Bills game is the most unforgivable one. Raiders are actually decent. Texans are garbage and we should've beaten them, but the Bills we had by the throat...

Just as Bowles said, one game at a time!!

The way Kansas City played yesterday, I can see them losing one. We need to win out and hope Pitt drops one.

Only thing we can control is our wins. First things first, beat Dallas

Yeah, I almost mentioned the Chiefs win, but I got too depressed thinking about the absolute choke the following week.

Do the Jets own a tiebreaker over the Patriots to win the AFC East? They are 11-2, yet did not clinch last night. That means the Jets would win the East at 11-5 if the Patriots also finish 11-5 right? Obviously will not happen, but you never know...........

Obviously it won't happen BUT hypothetically speaking, New England loses out. We win out. Steelers win out and KC wins out. What seed is New England and who misses the playoffs ? TDK is right .. We would win the division because they would have clinched last night, with a win?
