Of course you bring him back lol He gives us the best chance to win, he's a veteran with experience, and he provides great insight to Petty. What's the alternative? Start a rookie before he's ready and risk hurting him? Start Geno Smith and lose every fuckin game on the schedule? It's a no brainer
After the next 2 weeks I see it being Jets at 7-4 Steelers at 6-5 with loss at Seattle Bills at 6-5 or 5-6 with loss to Pats, Chiefs game is a toss up Raiders at 6-5 should win both Dolphins at 4-7 Cowboys get Romo back at Chiefs at 6-5 or 5-6 Bills game is a toss up Jets should be in good shape.
As crazy as it sounds, Denver might be in big trouble. Manning may be out for several weeks. They have at Chicago and Patriots next two weeks. Jets and Denver could have the same record come Dec 1. Denver also plays bengals, Steelers and raiders. KC has a super easy schedule and I would not be shocked if they won the division.
At Detroit and at Houston isn't a cake walk. They can easily split the 2 road games. Winning one week on the road is difficult.. But back to back on the road is really hard.. Regardless of opponent
After those two weeks Steelers 7-4 Bills 6-5 Jets 5-6 Raiders 6-5 Dolphins 6-5 Chiefs 5-6 Jets are not making the playoffs. Anyone thinking this before the season was deluding themselves, anyone doing it now is as well.
c'mon man, you honestly didn't think the Jets had a shot at the playoffs after all the changes we made during the off-season? not at all?
You sound awfully certain that the Jets are going to lose to a horrible team and then a team they've already blown out back to back.
You seriously think we're losing to the Dolphins at home?? Put down the pipe. Did you watch the London game? Philly handed them the game yesterday 6 different times or they'd be 3-6 right now. They're awful. The Jets have a great chance at making the playoffs. Our defense is better than any defense on that list, and it's not even close. Our offense is currently #12 in the league. Some of you guys got so mentally beat up over the years, you can't even tell when we have a good team. Looking at who we're competing against, our chances right now are much better than theirs.
My Prediction: @Houston: Win. 6-4. Miami: Loss. 6-5. @Giants: Loss. 6-6. Tennessee: Loss. 6-7. (The Titans always beat us.) @Dallas: Win. 7-7. New England: Loss. 7-8. @Buffalo: Win. 8-8.
My prediction: @Houston: Win. 6-4. Miami: Win. 7-4. @Giants: Loss. 7-5. Tennessee: Win. 8-5. @Dallas: Loss. 8-6. New England: Loss. 8-7. @Buffalo: Win. 9-7. Just miss the playoffs by one game. If they can squeeze out one more game 10-6 will do it.
we gotta watch for oakland too and both Oak and Buff currently have the head to head on us. oak will keep that tie breaker but we have to beat the bills and fins again so we can take the tie breaker with buffalo. maybe even ahve to beat NE once and hope the bills lose to them this week
Yes - I honestly thought the Jets had no shot at the playoffs before the season, and while I admit they have a shot now, I do not think and fairly confident they are going to make it. Yes - I think we are going to lose to the Phins at home, unless you are an elite team, sweeping a division opponent is not easy, I think the Dolphins may still end up with a better record than us. Houston is not as horrible as you think, there Offense is ranked higher than ours. Have you seen the Jets play the last few weeks, we are not very good either.
Look, I KNOW the Jets can lock down the 6th seed and knock the Pats out in the AFC Divisional Round. Meh. My sincere goal for my NY Jets THIS season is the lock down the 5th seed and knock the Pats out of the AFC Championship game. After that I probably won't even bother watching SB50
Last three games are going to be killer. Going to have to beat the Dallas Douchebags and Bills if we want to make the playoffs.
Yeah ... It was bad enough having to game plan against Brian Hoyer, but now it looks like we might have to find a way to contain TJ Yates. I'm terrified. And how are we supposed to move the ball against that #27 run defense? I just don't see any way we can win that game.
I appreciate the sarcasm, but I don't like that teams we are about to play have confidence building wins. Detroit should have quietly lost to Green Bay. Houston should be down by three touchdowns to Cincinnati. When the schedule has losing teams on it, they should act like losing teams.
