So if you don't want to discuss these things why join a Jet forum?

That's pretty much the whole idea behind these things.

Both HAVE to lose 1 game period, if we win out. I could see Miami losing any one of the three remaining games. If Baltimore loses to either Chicago at home or at Oakland the last game, I would be very surprised. I think we will need the Steelers to beat Baltimore in 10 days.

I don't want to get all excited too fast or look ahead myself, and I don't mind talking about it, things are intense man haha I just want the team to have success, it's there in front of them, it's not that I don't mind it cause I don't at all, I know we all see what the big picture is, It's something I had to put to mind

I agree i'm pinning on Pittsburgh to "unleash hell" and play spoiler, Steelers will have a purpose you know they don't want the Ravens in the playoffs

P.S. I joined this forum for the pure love for the New York Jets, the only football team i've ever liked and wanted to succeed

None of those games were 'trap games'. They lost those games because Brett Favre sucked and the D played like crap under Mangini.

It wasn't just Brett Favre sucking and the D faltering towards the end, it was game planning from the CS and the inability to make adjustments argh I don't even want to go back to that, there were so many reasons why we faltered those games yea we could go and blame Brett, but were the assholes who only had TJ the leading rusher run 17 times and have Brett throw in the fucking snow over 30 times against the Seahawks and GO FOR IT on the 20 on a 4th down play and our run D was still decent at that time. Do I really have to go back and list all the reasons why we obviously weren't focused those last couple games

A trap game is called that for a reason, looking forward to another opponent and not having your focus completely on 1 team, we weren't focused we were lacking discipline, we looked horrible out there, my point is this team has to stay focused every game, at times they are focused at other times they look like complete shit and are playing lackadaisical, you can agree with my opinion or continue to disagree and thats fine by you it's called an opinion for a reason. I just hope everyones head is in the right place I can only pray, I believe in this team

Okay, but what's the point of you writing here on this thread that none of our playoff scenarios matter unless players play show up and play well for their games?

hmmm... yeah the problem was that when favre is turning the ball over as much as he was.. we fell behind early.. and we needed to start throwing to make up ground fast...

after our 8-3 start we dropped 4 for the last 5... correct me if im wrong .. but favre only had 2 TDs in those last five games and around 8-9 picks.. pretty sure it was nine.. how the hell do you expect to win a game.. DESPITE whatever the hell the team was doing.. when you have a 2/9 TD/INT ratio...

Yeah course it matters that we show up and play, we still have to win da games dude, we have to play our absolute best, if we win out I think we will be in no doubt about it, Miami is bound to lose, well Baltimore is really a problem cause you don't know how there gonna come out, lets just hope Pittsburgh players like last years superbowl champs and that crazy haired safety comes back

Dallas's win eliminated Atlanta from the playoff picture. Even if the Falcons win out, they cannot make the playoffs.

Who do you think the Jets will face in the Superbowl?

Looks like the Jets will need the Steelers to pick it up and take out the Ravens and Dolphins for the Jets to even have a chance. I'm still not writing off the Broncos falling apart, although they would need to lose to one or more pretty shitty teams besides Philly. Its been said before, but all we can do is win and let the chips fall.
I'd love to see us take out the Colts, even if we don't make the playoffs.

I disagree. Miami is at Tennessee today. That's a very tough game. Then they have Houston and Pittsburgh. None of those games are easy.

True regarding Miami, but the Steelers appear to be the toughest game the Ravens have left.

A Jets win and a Dolphins loss puts the Jets in the #6 seed until at least 7:00. :)

yeah, the Ravens have two other games which look easy, but you never know when Oakland will show up (and they're at home).

This is the only time where I'd pray that the Raiders DON'T put in Fatty Russell. The rest of the year, its been great comedy.

The Raiduhs show up for one game a month. The Ravens play in Oakland on Jan 3rd.

    That's all I've got.

I think one of the hardest things in the NFL to predict is the Raiders. They've been the same for five years. Mostly really horrible, but they occasionally have games where they show up and give their opponent a run for their money.

With other teams, it's easier to predict when they'll play well or poorly.
