It was a half-hearted joke. He was probably taken aback by the hatred and length with which you responded to his silly one sentence post with and was sucked into this lame debate because he felt a need to retaliate after being ridiculed.

Football players get paid millions when they are professional athletes in the NFL. To achieve that takes hard work and dedication almost year round, year in and out for their entire career. Your comment about them playing a game for 5-7 months is juvenile.

He got ridiculed because it was silly. And it's pretty obvious by the depths of his response that he was a little more than half serious about the fans being an important factor.

I never once wrote, or even implied, that it didn't take incredible hard work or dedication to play in the NFL. I only wrote that they only actually played for 5-7 months. (It was an innocuous comment that was made with the larger intention of mocking the notion that they shouldn't be able to handle some booing) So, if by juvenile you mean "factually correct," then we agree :)

Oh so you can take one sentence from another poster completely literally and rant endlessly about it but others can't do that to you. Got it.

Is there anyone ELSE on this thread?

Thanks, Mangolden Showers. It's cool. He's won the argument about 10 times now and still he's yammering...

Where did I write, or even imply, that? I wrote that the NFL season lasted 5-7 months. It does, in point of fact, last 5-7 months. You still aren't reading too carefully, I see?

You've completely obfuscated the topic, with boring, long-winded, venomous personal attacks.
    Thanks again.

Not really. I poked holes in your arguments and you responded with nothingness in between clamoring about a supposedly grave insult. You can blame me for "obfuscating" the topic at hand, but it takes two to tango, fella.

No, you responded to arguments I didn't even make, citing arguments "commonly spewed by ardent Rex supporters".

and, really, you didn't actually poke holes in my arguments, since you cited correlations, which prove nothing. It was I who poked a giant hole in your "one constant" argument, which you didn't actually respond to.

You've attempted to win an argument with volume and venom instead of intelligence. and you haven't won.

The comment you are referring to was one among many. In no way did your comment, which also happens to be commonly found in many posts defending Rex on this website and articles defending Rex in the press, serve to embody the crux of the discussion at hand. But, clearly, it bothered you that I lumped you in with the other Rex fanboys on this message board. I really am sorry, I know you weren't really defending Rex. I'm sure you were joking about that, too.

Hmmm. Was this before or after you conceded defeat? Was this before you asked for other posters to chat with?

Yeah, because none of your posts had any 'volume' . . .
