I'm not sure but some SDSU fans I know say he ran a laser clocked 4.4 in high school whatever the hell that means. He's a quick player but he's not great catching the ball in traffic although he hits the holequick. He's a smaller back so playing every down might be an issue.
Going to be a steal in round 2 to whoever gets him. Would not be upset if NYJ even though RB isn't that huge of a need. He will join the company of Matt Forte, Maurice Jones-Drew and Ray Rice as that round 2 RB stud.
WEll, you say RB is not a huge need, but do you think the Jets would be better if we had MJD, Rice, or Forte on our roster? I do and if Polk is in the same talent range I woudl say go for it.
Oh I would like Polk on the team big time but it all depends on what we get in round 1. I would not mind it if we got an OLB or T in round 1 or so. Ultimately, I know I will be in the lone boat but if we got Michael Floyd and Chris Polk in the 1st 2 rounds I can imagine the hysteria on this message board while I am as giddy as a little boy.
I would rather Monte Ball in the 2nd round. Now HE reminds me of that Ray Rice, MJD, Matt Forte type player... Oh yeah, and I've only heard bad things in terms of character about floyd, and honestly would rather stay away considering what we've seen this weekend.
Floyd's straightened his stuff up big time this year. He moved in with freshman in dorms at ND to stay out of trouble. He got humbled big time I think by this DUI in the past offseason. He does have that kind of complex that we see out of Dustin Keller usually where he usually likes to jaw with opponents but many players have it. Dustin Keller speaking of which got into a bar fight while in Purdue but as we have seen, the man has been a class citizen off the field for the Jets. Floyd should follow down that same road as far as character goes. It sucks for Floyd but ND's catholic background hurt him anytime he'd get in trouble, especially when it comes to a DUI as that's a big no-no at ND. Justin Blackmon got a DUI 2 years ago(In season....) but that gets swept out of the rug because he went to Ok St. You never know Floyd could pull an idiotic move come the combine, it would not surprise me. But he seemed like a changed dude this past season and one that got real serious considering how close he was to being kicked out of ND.

Blackmon going pro http://espn.go.com/nfl/draft2012/st...on-oklahoma-state-cowboys-announces-going-pro
He announced it right after the game, he was like, oh yeah I'm going pro ...talk about putting somebody in the spot but the reporter straight up asked him. Quite funny actually.
I'd be joining you. FLoyd or a receiver like him would be a huge boots to the offense. Unless we get more production from holdovers Powell or McKnight, we lack explosiveness in our running game as well. Greene is a powerful monster but not the type to break a 4 yard run into an 50 yarder very often. I really would love a pass rusher and some Oline if the right players fall to us, but would not at all mind adding some top flight skill players for the first time in a long while.
You're probably right, but I think he at the back end of the first would be a steal (him going to a playoff team is SCARY, he'd catch 150 passes if the Saints take him to replace Colston). A deal down for extra picks would be very intriguing, but of course only if DeCastro/our top OT/LB targets are gone.
