I second that, Liuget is a stud. Some team will be very happy with him as a one gap penetrating tackle. He looks strong enough to hold up in a 34 too, but would be a beast in a 43. There was no reason Deaderick should have went so late, look back at posts last year about how high a lot of the people here were on him. He was a kid with 34 experience in a great system for developing talent. Yeah, Weeden played baseball for some time. I was hoping he'd go pro because of the age, but I'm guessing he wants to take a shot at a B12 title. With his arm, he could be a nice option for the Jets to look at as a backup QB for Sanchez.
sash and bowen http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/Iowas-Tyler-Sash-to-enter-the-NFL-draft.html I like sash a lot.
One of the best playmakers in the draft, Kentucky WR/RB/QB/KR Randall Cobb: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/draft2011/news/story?id=6018568
I was really caught off guard Blackmon decided to stay. IMO, JB could have been a top 15 pick. Next year's receiving class looks loaded, possibly 4 wideouts in the top 20.
Maybe he didn't like what he heard from the advisory board? Wants a Big12 Title? He's stock is scalding hot right now, but he still looks to be the 3rd WR off the board behind Green and Jones. Maybe his pride won't let him? He could challenge for the #1 spot at WR next year if he plays like he did this season. Honestly though, I'm not gonna pretend to know what's going on in his head, I've never been close to the position he's in...
Nick Claytor, OT, Georgia Tech http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sour...fa8tVa&usg=AFQjCNH20metifK3VqKLFvJ2kz8qMPzMDQ
Stevan Ridley, RB, LSU http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/football/sec/2011-01-13-lsu-ridley-nfl_N.htm
Look who's taking a paycut: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/01/13/cam-newton-leaves-auburn-for-nfl-draft/ Yes, I went there
This is definitely simply due to the sheer number of backs. LSU looks like its going to have at least 8 RB on scholarship next year. Its been clear how good Spencer Ware and Michael Ford can be. His stock was never going to be higher than what it was now, but I would still think he should have stayed in school
Jerrard Tarrant, S, Georgia Tech http://www.google.com/url?url=http:...a+Tech&usg=AFQjCNGz-9KM1hAUSCwTRxjEJG9PCPlsqw
I hope not in round 1??? Tarrant is a tremendous athlete and one of the nation's best punt returners, but not worth a Rd 1 selection. I'm expecting excellent combine #s, but can't see him cracking rd 1.
I would take him in the first round. Tarrant is my top safety now that he's declared. He's the complete package at the position: a ballhawk that's very good against the run.
Waiting on Justin Houston's decision...no word yet. Today is the deadline. Important player that should be available for Jets in Rd 1, if Beal is gone.
Bama Safety Mark Barron is returning for his Sr Season: http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/41091351/ns/sports-college_football/ Great choice considering he wouldn't be able to work out for scouts with the pec tear...
Hate taking my quote...just in: Justin Houston declares. Strong candidate for the Jets in late Rd 1. http://www.timesfreepress.com/news/2011/jan/15/ugas-houston-declares-nfl-draft/?breakingnews
