O- Sanchez D- Harris That is only if I had a gun to my head. There were so many players that played well it is mind boggling.
this thread is almost impossible to give to 1 person...both units were so cohesive. it was a complete team effort. you'd have to name a few david harris had the stats and was all over the place. bart scott didn't have the numbers but you saw him on every play. jenkins threw around people like a ragdoll. then of course revis who shut down johnson on offense...sanchez but both cotchery and chansi had a lot of YAC fighting for first downs and breaking tackles. if they don't get those first downs the complexion of the game changes quite a bit. keller had some huge grabs also
D: Harris, Scott, Jenkins, Revis were all sensational. (All ahead of Rhodes now it seems) Jenkins is only getting better and better isn't he?
few less obvious picks, or not Offense: Faneca had some incredible blocks on some counter run plays. And the wildcat leon plays. T-Rich played great. And my man D-Brick neutralized Mario Williams and kept the blind side safe for Marc. Defense: Donald Strickland, he forced a fumble which was recovered by Devito. A costly turnover for Houston. Westerman had a great sack, although his lane was clear, and Pouha played well I noticed him a few times today.
It was just a total team effort. Everyone from the punter and on played exceptionally well, but if I have to pick I would say Sanchez and Revis.
Offense - Just so he is not forgotten J Co needs to be mentioned. He was rarely open beyond having a guy right on his hip and he used his body to block the defender(s) out beautifuly. He caught everything....except 1 TD. Defense - David Harris was everywhere. .....and slightly off topic but Eric Smith 's pass defense on the 4th and 1 IMO was the turning point of the game.
The players of the game were Mike Tannenbaum for hiring Sexy Rexy. The entire coaching staff put the players in a position to be successful. They all get the game ball.
