I know, I know. Schilling and Beckett, the offense (except Drew, Lugo, and Coco), and the bullpen are carrying you though. Three of your starters, Wakey, Daisuke, and Tavarez are pitching mediocre baseball.
Drew is heating up big time. As long as it's just five players out of 25 going cold at a time, the Sox are fine. Next time speak up though. It's hard to hear from up here at the best record in baseball when you're all the way down there under .500.
He started off slow but his last two innings were as good as he has ever been. Not velocity wise obviously but he was as effective as I have ever seen him in those two innings.
Remembered when I mentioned that before? Where was that aggressiveness? One of the reasons I've been pissed @ Joe. I understand this is a diffrent team from the past but still we used to play small ball more often. Seems he waits to make sure It's for Rocket which is BS.
I was right about this one! Ecko was down on him but I said he'd turn it around. Good hitters like Abreu always do in the end, as long as they're right physically.
13-6. Don't know why Villone didn't pitch, it makes no sense that he would be in the majors and Britton in the minors.
I'll admit I was "wrong" about Abreu. It wasn't so much that I thought he'd never start hitting, it was the combination of the lack of hitting, and poor fielding over a prolonged period I was unwilling to accept. He is on fire now. I'm glad the Yankees organization has more patience than I do. (Though I'm pretty sure I heard that Cashman made the call and was told the Sox are not interested.) ARod is a total monster. He's barely making contact with balls and sending them into orbit. It's unreal how much power he has. Clippard had a rough outing today, but fortunately for us, he was matched up with Chacon. Great sweep, and I really hope this team continues the winning. We've got two series now against real teams. We need to win both of them. A sweep in either one is unfathomable, but if we can take 4 of the next 6, we're in very good shape.
how many times must the yankees keep you sox in second place, ummm how many times has it been in the past 15 years? hmmmm i think you know... if you pay attention to baseball you know what happens at the second half of the season.
bobby abreu.... he has always been a good hitter, people just dont know players... he needed to be in a team like the yankees to shine brighter, he does not want to be THE guy he wants to be one of the guys and this is why he's hot.
