Roster update today. Houston was removed and they gave us Hollings. They gave us a TE last name Kewla-something. Barton was switched to ILB and Hobson to OLB

Barton is due to a natural ratings decline when moving from OLB to ILB.

Same as moving a LB to DE, the overall changes.

But still, he probably played better than Vilma last year...

When you move Barton without the BS online updates(I like to do them manually) Barton goes down to an 86 as an ILB.

They REALLY need to release a patch to this game that corrects the fumbling problem. It is almost inexcusable.

And what's with the special teams? The special teams in Madden always sucks. I never understood that especially considering the fact that it is halfway decent in the NCAA version.

    Otherwise Madden is pretty good.

Still... the fumbles and the ST problems might be enough to make me sell it back if something isn't done to correct it.

Does anyone else think that the 360 interface is a little bit sluggish? Maybe I need to drop to 720p?

I actually like the special teams this year. They have been terrible in the past (ie having to fair catch every single punt) but I think it's fine this year. (although some kickers can boot it through the endzone every time, but that's always been the case)

How bad is the fumbling? Does it really cause that big of a problem?

    Very bad. And yes.

I've been getting about 4 fumbles a game on average, and it's not like from a big hit or anything, they just drop it on normal tackles.

Do certain players fumble more then others or is just a general thing where you a certain percentage of plays when your tackled you fumble?

Not so sure, I've only played as the Jets and Broncos, but noticed no difference in who fumbled more. I know that Thomas Jones, Cotchery, Justin Miller, and Justin McCareins have all fumbled for me, as well as Travis Henry.

It really does change the gameplay alot, as I find myself running out of bounds if I'm near the side line instead of trying to get a few extra yards, or just tryign to get tackled instead of breaking through a pile in the middle of the field.

If they fixed it, the game would be much much better, I can't believe they actually shipped the game with such a terrible flaw.

Fumbling is a big problem, especially on All-Madden. Try increasing the Human RB ability to 60, and the CPU Rb ability to 65. This will not only improve the RB fumbling problem, but all of the ball carriers.

I'll start by saying I LOVE this game. It blows away any football video game I've ever played.

The fumbling is a HUGE issue though. I will try this to fix it and hopefully it works. Leon Washington fumbles more often than he doesn't!

Has anyone noticed it seems to rain a lot too? I'm in week 8 of my season and have played 4 rain games.

I'm playing a Jets franchise, but playing with other teams a lot in preseason. I've probably played a total of 10 games and have yet to see any rain.

I'm starting to like the game more and more, but I had mixed feelings when I first played it. Fumble problems, game speed (I thought it was way to fast at first), lack of sliders (like fumble slider), radio announcer, etc... I didn't have high expectations to begin with (given EA's laziness in the past), but I figured if you just take it for what it is, it's pretty damn good.

So I got the game today, made these changes to the sliders and I've had one fumble in 7 or 8 quarters of play. The game is really good, gameplay is much improved. Still need to play more before I say it's a great game but so far so good.
