I just picked it up from a store in Staten Island. I just popped it in and the opening intro is the best in years. Just to let you know they put Mangini in the intro!!! I stopped preordering Madden a few years back. Circuit City always has copies and at the cheapest price.
I am confused why anyone would ever pre-order a game anyways. they are manufactured in such ridiculous quantity you would have to live on the moon not to be able to get one the moment you wanted it.
I find this hard to believe. I just called my buddy at Electronics Botique where I live. They said if ANYONE releases Maden 08 before MIDNIGHT Tuesday 8/14 They will be HEAVILY penalized.
Big time stores like EB games and Circuit City etc wont do it b/c it will hurt their future dealings w/ these game companies. Smaller non brand or non chain stores dont face as harsh a penalty. Me myself got it yesterday and my friends got it from other locations as well
Since i buy it for PC, I used EA's Link program to download it. It will unlock for me at exactly 12:00 Tues.

i got mine today too in brooklyn for my PSP. played in work earning double pay beat the phins and the giants so far. TJONES is a beast i was also playing the superstar challenges pretty cool cant talk anymore about it. you have to buy it for yourself
I'm about couple of hours away from completing my download to the Madden 08 for my PSP. Gonna be playing it at work tomorrow. Can't wait to get my hands on the console version. That will have to wait though. BTW, if you have a hard-drive for your PS2, you can download the Madden 08 torrent and play it on PS2 right now. The torrent is available.
you?re not alone. I?m still playing Madden 06, i passed on 07, cuz i just thought it wasn?t worth it, i played it for one day, and decided, not to give EA 50? for improving nearly nothing. But from what i heared till now from 08, i wanna have it. Anyone already got the PC version? i have the problem, that the Superstar mode is unplayable, cuz i have to adjust my controles, cuz for some reason, the base settings for my gamepad are completely mixed up and you only can reset them on games and minigames, but not on superstar and training. is that problem still there?
Make sure you buy a PSP that is down-gradable. This way you can play all the games for free by loading the backup copies on to the memory card. Also, you can play old-school SNES, Genesis, Mame, NES, GBA, and etc games...all for free.
