Actually i like Big Ben, look at his Passer-Rating in his first 2 years in this League, and now he?ll throw the ball more than ever before, he could be a top 5 Fantasy QB. He has great Upside. Jacobs, i just go with the Starter over the Backup Taylor, look above TJ Housyourmama. Yeah, Moss could put up some great numbers, but TJ Whatsyourname will put up some great numbers.
OK. My draft lottery went down last night. I have the eighth pick out of ten teams. Here is how I think the first six picks will go: LT, Steven Jackson, LJ, Frank Gore, Shaun Alexander, Joe Addai I'm not sure what the seventh pick will be. In this league, we start two QBs. So who to pick? Willie Parker, Rudi Johnson, Brian Westbrook, or Peyton Manning? Please give me your top two choices cuz of that seventh pick issue.
Willie, Wessy with Rudi not far behind. I think you can get a pretty good FF QB late this year, like Big Ben, Leinart, Cutler or Young. do you think there will be a QB run in your draft? if not, i?d go for one in rounds 3-5 (when you feel you get good value) and one of the mentioned in rounds 7-9.
How about Marshawn Lynch in Buffalo? Probably my sleeper rookie of the year pick. I think he'll get the bulk of the carries and the Bills will be a run heavy offense. Also good receiver out of the backfield.
It's not rocket science that's for damn sure. I just gave you a guy who I think will give equal or better fantasy production than any of the guys you had listed in your original post. That should answer your question. So if you don't think Lynch is up to the task let's hear your reasons why.
In my league, we start 2 QBs. So by round 4, Peyton, Brees, Palmer, and Brady will be taken and probably Bulger too. That's why Peyton has value at eight.
Most draft gurus have all of the guys you listed above or right around the same spot as Lynch on their board. Lynch hasn't played a down in the NFL compared to all of the others you listed. If you have Lynch rated that much higher than all of those other backs you listed, more power to you. Like I said, I have Lynch as a sleeper to do big things but I would not unequivocally say that he is rated "much higher" than alot of very good, proven fantasy performers a la M Barber, J Lewis, etc.[/RIGHT]
If I used that strategy in my league (which, keep in mind, starts two QBs), then my second QB would someone like Jason Campbell and I'd have to start him every week. I'd rather have two good QBs.
The latest word out of Buffalo is that Marshawn Lynch and Anthony Thomas are going to be a committee this season.
I heard the same thing yet I've seen A-Train enough and had him on enough fantasy teams to know that Lynch will be getting the bulk of the team's carries by midseason at the latest. Lynch is by FAR quicker and more explosive. Only thing that remains to be seen about him is his ability to take a big hit and get up again. I still like him as a sleeper.
Buffalo Running backs have the hardest S.O.S. by team and by position, and that OL isn't too fearsome. I'd stay away from Lynch.
hm, that?s gonna be a total different Draft, than the ones i?m used to. But one thing i?d do is stay away form WRs in the early rounds. You can get guys like B. Edwards, B. Berrian, Cotch, V. Jackson or S. Holmes in the rounds 7-9 and in that draft, they should even drop more.
