I also believe this is the route we should take considering this draft and next years draft. This year is very top heavy due to the COVID situation. 2022 is going to be absolutely STACKED with talent. I would much rather spend the draft picks in 2022 on playmakers and load up the line this offseason. Also helps Zach Wilson a ton in his rookie season
Just got an update on my phone that the Jets are receiving "significant interest" for the 2nd pick. We may trade out of this if we can get a kings ransom for it
Don't the Jags need OL help? I think I've read that is a big need for them. You could be right. I hope they take Moehrig. I want to see what JD would do if Moore and Jenkins are both setting there at #34.
You could be right, but I'd rather err on the side of caution. The only other player I'd rather see them take at #34 other than Jenkins is Moore. At this point of the draft, I truly do not care about defense.
Cap is a bullshit number that's easily manipulated; if a team wants to keep a player, they will find a way to keep them. Nobody said Dallas could keep all their OL + Lawrence + Cooper + Dak + Zeke, yet here we are.
Having to pay them all within 2 years is definitely a concern. That's the only reason I wouldn't take Jenkins, and would instead take Moore. Perkins is not even a consideration, nor is JOK for me.
their o-line is oft injured and aging and their D is awful due to paying out the ass for o-line. cap can be manipulated but eventually it catches up with you.
It’s not about being able to, it’s about what it costs the rest of your positions. The Cowboys had a shit record last year even before Dak’s injury… even with all those guys they were empty at other positions for that reason. I study the cap a lot, it can be manipulated of course but it’s not bullshit.
It’s not desperate or anything, but it’s more about what kind of team Urban Meyer wants to build. He’s all about speed, it’s why he Etienne even though RB isn’t a huge need. It’s because of the kind of RB Etienne is. That’s why Moore is a likely pick, probably fastest WR not named Waddle.
